  Really nice cottage with everything you could need in it.

  Lovely garden . . Lovely owners. Nothing was any trouble to them (but they were not intrusive) and by the end of the week we felt that we had known them for ages. The area was peaceful, people were friendly. Village only one mile. We were lucky to have a couple of really hot days so it was nice to sit outside the cottage under the umbrella for a few hours. The small caravan field is no problem, in fact we took our dog for a run up there every morning and evening. We met some really nice caravan owners to chat to. Burnham on Sea is only 10 minutes away by car. No dogs on the beach but Apex Park (free to park) at the far end is great for dog walking. Takes about 40 minutes to walk around the lake and then plenty of picnic benches and seats. A catering van plus ice cream van are in the car park. All in all a lovely place to spend a couple of hours or more with or without a dog and less than 10 minutes from cottage. We also loved Wells only 13 miles away. And Clark’s Village, Street for shopping. Weston Super Mare is only 15 minutes away. We would highly recommend Pear Tree Cottage.

  What a great find.

  Perfect base to visit family and some nice walks. The option to wash our clothes after a torrid day was a bonus as the weather one day was horrendous. There was a lovely wood burner that sadly was too mild to light but cottage was cozy enough. The kitchen was well equipped and the lovely hosts were very thoughtful and left jam scones and clotted cream (see input the jam first) which was lovely to have with the tea and coffee provided. There was only one slight hiccup that was nothing to do with the property. The neighbouring property had a water leak and the workers had to dig a trench to sort which we had to traverse to exit property this was resolved by the time we returned. Will definitely return to this beautiful cottage. Thanks all involved

  An absolute fantastic property with lovely cottage charm which was situated in a fantastic location for us to do serval day trips around some parts of Cornwall.

  We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely welcoming Cornish cream tea set out for us which was a really nice touch by the host. The cottage was clean and tidy and had a lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities. The main bedroom was lovely , we would suggest a better mattress on the main bed as we found it very springy which made it difficult to sleep on especially with some back issues I have, but that’s an easy an minor upgrade. We throughly enjoyed our stay and we definitely revisit when we come back to Cornwall. Highly recommend this cottage in a peaceful location with some pubs close by if you want to chill out after a long day of adventures in Cornwall. Thank you for a pleasant stay at your beautiful cottage.

  Pear Tree Cottage is set in a very peaceful relaxing location attached to the owners property.

  Sue (owner/host) was there to greet us as we arrived and took us around the property and told us how everything worked. The cottage is very spacious, particularly for 2 people, and had everything there we wanted. It was interesting to read how it was created. The garden is lovely but the weather was against us and didn't get a chance to sit out in it. A lovely car port to park the car and wide spacious drive for manoeuvring. Location is great for all places of interest. Forgot to mention the cream tea that Sue greeted us with! thank you Sue, it was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this property, particularly for those that like peace and quiet.

  It was a really lovely cottage.

  I found that there was a slight lack of practical things like a wardrobe to hang clothes on in the parents bedroom and also in the bathroom. The fixed shower at the top without any hose was really a problem for me, who is a woman and does not want her hair to be systematically wet. You could see that it was an ideal pad for a man without too much regard for practical aspects. The manual for the oven was missing so we could not use the timer. I apologise as my son broke a normal size glass which slipped in the sink upstairs and broke. However, overall we had a lovely time.
