  We took our 13 month old and 3 year old dachshund for a week in Peaty cottage. It couldn't have been a better holiday. The property is beautiful, well decorated, clean and well laid out. The kitchen is well stocked which was helpful for us when cooking for ourselves and baby as we couldn't always eat out with nap times. The cottage is really well laid out for babies, we asked for the highchair and travel cot even though sometimes they're not great. Despite being a bit worried about it, the travel cot was better quality than ours and the high chair great. There wasn't a huge amount of ornaments or anything for toddlers to break, ours was mostly into the coasters. Outside is a little risky with a walking toddler, but it is absolutely stunning. Gorgeous scenery and a little gardeny bit at the back. Honestly if you're happy just running about after your little one there's no reason not to enjoy outside. Beware of goose poo though, we learned the hard way! The hosts were great, introduced herself and asked if we needed anything but weren't intrusive and we felt like we had privacy and peace whilst we were there. Totally dog friendly - even a lead in the cupboard - but again, with the garden not being enclosed it would depend on your dog. We have a needy dachshund so he doesn't stray far and doesn't like water (if you've a spaniel I'd be careful of the lake!!) It's well situated for days out, beach trips, national trust things etc. We used the pool on a rainy day which was great - they're doing some work on the loo/changing area but it's so close to the house so this wasn't an issue. All in all I couldn't rate our stay highly enough. Written this super long review for other parents/dog owners because it can be hard to find suitable places... This is it. Clean, spacious, bright and airy, with extra nice touches on arrival. Absolutely perfect!

  Just a quick note to say how much we all enjoyed our stay at Primrose Farm Barn last week. The ‘Barn’ was absolutely stunning and perfect for our requirements.The pool was brilliant. The three children in our party absolutely loved the convenience of having it on the door step and the owners were very accommodating – extending the time slots to maximise flexibility for us wherever possible.What we loved: The pool and the surrounding facilities (showers and pool table) The enclosed courtyard so the two dogs could have free reign The beautiful bedrooms and the fact that they were ideally located so that each ‘family’ in the party could create their own space was lovely The multiple TVs – in the brochure and pictures it looked like there was only one TV in the kitchen so we were pleasantly surprised to find multiple TVs at the property – a god send when there are children in the party and a grandad who loves to watch the footie How clean everything was. The place was spotless Primrose Farm Barn provided the perfect stay for our extended family. If we return to Norfolk we will definitely look up the property.   What an absolutely gorgeous stay!

  Just come back from a weekend away with a group of friends. So refreshing to find a large cottage with multiple actual bedrooms and not lots of old uncomfortable sofa beds. Real beds each with luxury bedding and super comfortable and individually styled rooms. The design and layout of the whole place was stunning. With everything we could think of provided. Again - really refreshing for a listing which says it’s for 8-10 actually having tables being big enough, enough sofas, cutlery and plates etc. Sounds silly but sadly often happens you are left without or sat on the floor. Such an easy stay - everything worked as it should. Fab touches like the Sonos sound system, plenty of towels, an extra fridge, and the wild swim pond really gave that extra special feel. The games barn was awesome - giving us all something to do when the weather wasn’t playing ball. Many hours spent playing pool and darts. With fairy lights and disco balls. We never actually needed to leave - but when we did we ventured to Southwold which was beautiful. Overall- Brilliant! Mel and Simon have thought of everything - a great stay. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!
