What our customers say about their holidays

On arrival it was a struggle to open the main door.
When entering we had noticed lack of cleanliness windows were all smudged and marked mirrors were also dirty too, cobwebs found everywhere. The downstairs toilet light was constantly flickering when using it. The upstairs landing light also flickered, the master bedroom main light was not working at all (but got replaced when got in touch with maintenance), the main bathroom had broken floor tiles, the second set of double doors in the living area was a wrestling match to open close and lock so we didnt open them again, there was a chip on the hob in the kitchen, all the lamp shades need cleaning or replacing as they were dirty, the hot tub cover was covered in bird droppings which had not been cleaned in a while, they had used slate surroundings the area so be aware that you'll need some foot wear getting in and out of the hot tub, I'd also recommend an umbrella whilst in the hotub to avoid getting bird dropping on you. It should really have a canopy over it like one of the neighbouring hottubs has. Could do with replacing sofas badly worn and sunken and lingering smell off dog ( which i understand it was a pet friendly accomadation but could be cleaned properly) there are some good poits though, the beds were comfy the hotub it self was nice, when your not getting bird droppings on you, the showers in bath main bathroom and ensuite were good. The wifi helped alot as it is a complete signal deadspot, plenty of cutlery and crockery provided. We would stay again if a few upgrades and general maintenance were done. We paid 850 for the week and although was cheap for the accommodation you can see why it was cheap.

This holiday home is perfect in every way.
It is immaculate, homely and there is nothing it doesnât have. It is STUNNING, MODERN with the most BEAUTIFUL views!! It is perfectly located with lots of beautiful places to visit: the Eden Project, Truro Cathedral and Trelissick National Trust. Although we visited for Christmas, the beaches are still just as beautiful and there are several to visit including Perranporth and Loe Beach. There are beautiful local walks, pubs within a mile and Truro town centre about a 10 minute drive. Thereâs an Aldi and Tesco Superstore, so you can pick up your groceries, beverages or any basic necessities you might have left behind. The owner is super helpful and will actually go above and beyond. Gave us a full tour and went over anything we wasnât sure about or how to use. E.g. How to turn on the hot tub, use the EV Chargerâ¦. Honestly, there is everything onsite: Patio heaters, travel cot, baby gates, board games even olive oil, washing powder, herbs and salt & pepper. If you are not sure about anything you need to take, message ahead because I guarantee you probably donât need it. The only thing I couldnât find were baby monitors and the owner immediately offered to go purchase. This was super kind but we didnât need them in all honesty, this demonstrates how the owner will go above and beyond to make your stay as safe and as comfortable as possible. We loved every minute and look forward to revisiting in summer. Thanks Sam and Carnon Gwel for the most perfect Christmas 2024!!

It was mentioned in the listing that there would be a swimming pool on site however that was not the case as when we got there some people said it was a plan about 5years ago and not got pushed any further.
Also the cleanliness of the house was not great, there was cobwebs everywhere, inches of dust on top of wardrobes and on blinds etc. Hence all the cobwebs there were loads of spiders crawling about which is understandable because of the season changes but for the amount there was it was not nice and comfortable to sleep with. Speaking of comfort, the beds and pillows were ridiculous, I had 4 pillows to myself but felt like I had 1, Iâve got chronic back pain originally and so has my mum who has got a medical condition where her back needs to be risen and we were both in so much discomfort due to the pillows being so flat. The mattress itself was average, no life or bounce to it. We had a maintenance man come out as I went to put the heating on in my room, as soon as I did I could smell gas. My mum said itâs probably just dust I can smell, as she went to check behind the radiator, the whole radiator fell off the wall and was hanging on by tiny temporary screws. Immediately turned the radiator off, took pictures and sent them straight to the people in charge. Few hours later they sent out that maintenance man who fixed it straight away but mentioned the mattresses hadnât been changed in over 11years, when the site first ever opened?? Besides all that, had a great stay, liked how big and spacious the place was along with the fact that they provided a smart TV where you could watch Netflix, Disney etc.

Lovely week holiday with 8 of us.
Would definitely stay here again. Pros Location - central for visiting north and south beaches. Open plan kitchen living room. Fridge freezer very good size for 8 people. Great size TV suits room size. Decent sized bedrooms with ample cupboards/drawers. Clean. Nice shower rooms. Cons Showers not very powerful and temperature varies during use. Beds small when used to super king and different firmness at home. Kitchen could do with scissors and better can opener. Not much cupboard space. Awkward to get to crockery/glasses in corner unit. Opening oven easily sets off the smoke alarms - tip: open slightly to let heat go up to the extractor fan (which you should have switched on!), then open fully but best be quick. Bedrooms and bathrooms could do with some hanging hooks on doors. Luckily Stall 1 wasn't being used, not sure how 4 cars would cope trying to park here. Use what3words rather than satnav postcode which will not get you there. Would you like us to publish your feedback? Rathillet is a lovely split-level accommodation with amazing views across the estuary from the lounge/diner and master bedroom.
The home has a double bedroom and bathroom downstairs with little balcony. There are 2 further double bedrooms on the main level (one of which can be made up as a twin), along with a shower room and kitchen. The fittings and furnishings are of a very high standard and the home is very well equipped. Anna the owner is friendly and available if you have any queries. She provides lovely extra touches in toiletries, washing products and ensures milk and tea and coffee are there for your arrival. Rathillet is in a great spot for exploring. Truro is nearby with all its amenities as is Falmouth. You can easily visit the Roseland, as well as the Lizard and St Michael's Mount and other areas. The drive down is steep and took a bit of getting used to with a larger vehicle. However it wouldnt stop me coming again. We had a great week and hope to return. Would thoroughly recommend this property.
