  Location was excellent, little village of St Issey was perfect to get to everywhere in Cornwall that we wanted and only 3 miles from the lovely harbour town of Padstow with its wide choice of eateries and a Tesco just before the actual town. The cottage was spacious with 3 bedrooms, two with very comfy double beds and the bathroom was amazing! The shower was powerful and the hot water was constant. The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty we didn't need, given we didn't cook or do washing, but others may take advantage of all that. A surprising find was the 2 comfy settees and chair have USB access as well as reclining ability via buttons on the sides. Very nice! Bedding and towels aplenty and very clean and fresh. Odd cobweb but nothing that was over worrying. It is a holiday cottage after all. Big back garden with outside seating/table/barbeque. The old church overlooking. Parking was fun, as you need to get your car as close to the front of the house as you can as its a tight little road. Lovely pub across the road that is welcoming and serves lovely food at a great price. I would recommend this cottage and if I was down in Cornwall again I would rebook for definite.

  Nice house, well furnished (tired in places) and convenient location for travelling around. Brilliant garden for the dogs to charge around. The house was however somewhat personal and the water pressure in both bathrooms was weak. An old greenhouse, and a pile of metal and wood in the garden should really be removed for safety purposes: there is a warning. Path behind house leads to a little woodland area, and then onto town, but runs past actively used fields for cows, so not really convenient to allow dogs off their leads. Another fair dog walk across the road (opposite the garden centre) leading to The Orchard was good, but you have to cut across a quite road within a housing area so again a limitation for dogs off leads, That said, Dunwich Forest wasn't far away, but we did see an adder whilst there so be careful. Overall, would we recommend and consider going again - yes. Note: coming from Halesworth, the house is on the right with a little lay by in front... the house name is covered up... if you get to the garage, turnaround!

  We had a lovely stay for a week at Victoria house, St Issey in October with our two dogs! The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and the secure enclosed back garden meant the dogs were happy too. We will definitely book this cottage again the next time we visit Cornwall! The pub just over the road Ring O'Bells, was dog friendly and served good food. The cottage was ideally located just outside Padstow, giving easy access to many beaches around Newquay and St Ives. Our Daughters spent a fabulous day cycling the camel trail, fitting in wine tasting at the Camel valley vineyard along the way. We visited the garden at Pencarrow with the dogs, and had an amazing long walk around the woods/outer gardens. Also on the way home we visited Tintagel Castle, which was well worth a visit with its breathtaking scenery! We’d recommend the cottage and the area to anyone considering a visit.   Victoria House is a very cosy cottage and we (me and my daughter) instantly felt comfortable there. Fab reclining sofas! Comfy beds too and a brilliant walk in shower as well as the bath. Also this cottage has a brilliant secure garden so our dogs had a great time. It was lacking a broom for daily sweeping so I called Tom the keyholder, a really pleasant, helpful man, and he brought a broom the next morning. Wish I’d thought to ask him for a salad bowl as kitchen lacking one! Brilliant washing machine with a 15 min cycle for any quick washing, plus a dryer. Easy 5-10 min drive to surrounding beaches and Padstow. Also you don’t have to park on the narrow lane, the cottage has its own drive 20ft round the corner. All in all a wonderful stay and we REALLY didn’t want to leave! We’ll be back! Julia, Ruby, & Ralf and Frank the dogs.
