What our customers say about their holidays

Lovely property with stunning views.
Sadly my stay coincided with lots of heavy rain so I wasnât able to enjoy sitting out in the lovely garden and listening to the beautiful birdsong, which really struck me on arrival (it was sunny then!) because itâs so quiet and peaceful out there. But it was still a very peaceful and relaxing stay nonetheless. The power shower was wonderful! Spacious cubicle, the water was lovely and hot and the water pressure was superb (Iâd wondered about that after reading that negative review and I can confirm that that person was talking absolute rot! In fact I wanted to take the shower home with me!). The pathway to the cottage did get quite muddy because of the rain so I did have to do a bit of tidying up after myself around the front doorway when I was loading up the car on departure, so sorry if I missed anything! (During my stay I just made sure I took my shoes off just inside the front door so I didnât carry any mud into the property, but during a dry spell Iâm sure the pathway wouldnât be a problem). The TV worked perfectly well and the bed was very comfy, although I couldnât find a WiFi password - but that didnât matter as I just used data on my phone (and I had no problem getting service, which I thought I might with the cottage being so remote). All in all Iâd definitely book again - hopefully when the weatherâs better!

The spacious apartment is just a few steps from the beach and offers a well-equipped kitchen. It’s perfect for those who enjoy cooking their own meals. The bright windows facing the sea provide sunshine during breakfast (weather permitting). During peak season, it can be quite lively outside the apartment, even late at night. The bedroom is at the back, but unfortunately, you can hear a ventilation system when the window is open. Light sleepers might find this disturbing. We kept the bedroom window closed at night and ventilated through the living room. The apartment is ideally located for long walks, with everything you need within walking distance. You can enjoy the smart TV in the living room or the smaller TV in the bedroom. The bathroom is spacious and well-equipped with both a shower and a bathtub. Overall, the apartment is in good condition, though you can see signs of wear from previous guests. The washer-dryer and dishwasher are very convenient, although the dishwasher’s drying function was broken during our stay and couldn’t be fixed. It still washed well, and drying by hand wasn’t a big issue. We would love to come back.

This was our second stay this year at this quality apartment. It’s well equipped, ideally situated with excellent views of the beach, close to all amenities and has permit car parking. What’s not to like? Well.......there is some noise from the patrons outside the restaurant downstairs and at weekends live music in the evenings, which we could hear, but it was acceptable. However on the last weekend of our stay (11th and 12th October) it moved into full nightclub mode including some kind of “boombox” sound system obviously located just below the floor of the apartment. From around 8:30 to 11:30 the noise and vibration was tremendous, shaking the floor and windows. When it finally subsided the sounds of clearing up continued into the early hours. Not the best night’s sleep prior to having to vacate the apartment by 9:00am Sunday morning. I’m afraid, this time, we will not be back, unless something is done about the nightclub noise.

The apartment is comfortable and well equipped. The views from the front windows are great, never a dull moment watching the world go by…we saw vintage buses, donkeys, flying plant pots and of course the sea. The location is great and we loved being able to pop to M&S for supplies. We travelled by train, it was very convenient to be close to the train station and the buses. We found lots to do and some great places to eat/drink including The Sandbar, Monas, Thyme Out and Billy Winters (a pleasant stroll along the Rodwell Trail). Leaflets for tourist information are now in the Dry Dock, very friendly. We would recommend a stay here.

An ideal spot, deep in the Dorset countryside, for a peaceful three day getaway with the dog over the firework weekend.
It was so quiet, with stunning views over Blackmore Vale. Nice walks in the area, lovely enclosed garden and a good inn at Ibberton. Very good facilities, warm and spacious. It suited us just great! The cutlery, glassware and crockery was a bit limited and the frying pan handle was dangerously loose. These aspects need checking. The parking space could have been more clearly described before arrival. Also the path from the parking space to the front door, via the main house garden, was quite steep and slippery in the rain and therefore probably unsuitable for some people to negotiate. We were OK with it however as we are very nimble!
