The house is an excellent option for groups or families.
The space is well thought out and the decking and garden spaces are a big plus. The kitchen is well equipped and itâs great to have a utility room too. It is within easy walking distance to the beach. For the most part then, I would recommend it. I do, however, have a couple of negative comments: 1) Given that this property is advertised as âfamily friendlyâ it would be a real bonus were the owners to say, as do many other properties, that cot and high chair are available on request. Because my booking included an infant I assumed there would be some provision for an infant but when I rang the owner I was told in rather curt terms that the property doesnât offer this. There was no sense of apology or even understanding, which left an unfortunate impression and a little bad feeling before the holiday even began. This was a pretty expensive property and I would have hoped for a nicer reception. We had to leave out much of the stuff we wanted to bring in order to pack a cot and we had to try to find a makeshift solution for a high chair for our one-year-old. I suggest that the owners make explicit on their site that they donât cater for infants; 2) itâs a bit cheeky to ask clients to do the cleaning, strip the beds and leave the place as they would wish to find it if you are only giving them access at 4pm on day 1 of their holiday and asking them to leave at 10am on the day of departure. Why does it take 6 hours for outside cleaners to prepare for the next party if the clients themselves have already done all the cleaning? This is no longer anything to do with COVID. I suggest an earlier arrival time, enabling families with otherwise loaded cars to get to the supermarket without it all being a massive rush. That would feel more hospitable.

A nearly perfect stay but there are one or two observations: Really liked the chamfered wooden furniture.
The beds in the master bedroom and double bedroom were very comfortable Very useful to label all the remotes Where we think improvements could be made 1. The lighting in both bedrooms is poor particularly the bed side lamps. They are no use for reading. These lamps are for ambient lighting and not functional lighting. The lamp next to the bevel mirror in the master bedroom is also poor, difficult to see to put on make up. 2. There was no instructions in the guest pack regarding disposal of rubbish, bedding, how to use the tv the fridge freezer and telescope(didn't use it for fear of breaking it) 3. The TV is quite technical particularly if one is not used to a SKY TV and SKYQ box. There were no instructions on how to use it. I would have expected at least, to have a link to a website that takes you directly to a manual (not a general page) 4. Similarly with the heating system. Again no instructions As a minimum a website that takes you directly to a manual (not a general page) 3.There is not a thermostat/control in the master bedroom and access to the radiators is not possible so one cannot turn the heating up or down. 4. I think there needs to be few more easy chairs to enjoy the view - particularly in the tower areas - lounge and main bedroom. 5. Whilst the listing for the property stated there was no washing machine, I would have expected an iron and ironing board. 6. FYO - 2 bulbs need replacing in the chandelier above the first landing and the door bell does not ring. A lovely property is a lovely place to chill out and watch the changing light, the clouds and activity on the straits. We did enjoy out stay.

The owner has known that one of the toilets doesnât flush and remove waste for at least 8 months .
We specifically required two bathrooms and paid more for the facility. It transpired that we had a child who âpotty trainingâ and anyone going through that means that trips t the toilet are urgent, The downstairs toilet has an extractor fan ,but it didnât work. There is no window in this bathroom and the shiny tiles get slippy from condensation. Both these jobs are quick and relatively cheap to remedy, Iâve done both in my own house a number of times. The visitor books evidenced these same issues and cleaners actually have apologised saying the owner is aware. I went through Sykes and I kept getting messages that the owner was not answering the phone or emails. A small amount of maintenance would save money in the long term, as well as bringing the standard of the property to where it should be. For example mortar on the roof edges would mean birds wouldnât be nesting in the roof at the front,and the rear garage. As well as stopping water getting on the roof timbers. Curtains that fit bedroom windows fully. A blind in the upstairs bathroom would mean the neighbours wouldnât see you in the shower, The good points, a good location in a nice village. The surrounding streets are very quiet , we live in the country and found it as quiet as home. Friendly neighbours and good amenities close at hand, including places to eat, walking , cycling and attractions.

Property is an absolutely fantastic building in an unbelievable location but unfortunately let down by maintenance and administration issues.
We arrived to receive a message that there was a blockage in one of the en-suite bathrooms and it was out of commission. We were informed a plumber would attend either the first or second day to repair it; despite contacting the agents on a number of occasions no plumber appeared. Yes, a first world problem, one of three en-suites being out of order but resulted in one couple being forced to constantly use the downstairs loo. Not what we paid top dollar for. Also disappointing that there was no information guide left for guests. As a result of this we had no idea that the apartment had access to a separate, private garden. Imagine how we felt when returning home to be told about the garden facility by the people who had previously stayed, and recommended the property to us. Instead we didnât venture into the garden as it was occupied by children in the flat below playing football. The lack of information also meant that we had no idea how to use the various, impressive entertainment equipment to found in the apartment and as for the complicated Welsh recycling system, anyoneâs guess. A really impressive property which, if everything was working/explained will provide excellent accommodation, just donât expect the owner/letting agent to do anything to make your stay a pleasant or easy one. A real pity.

A beautiful house clean and comfortable and in a brilliant location , however, sadly, it was lacking in certain areas.
Shame there was no welcome pk, a box of tea/coffee, pint of milk and a nice pkt of biscuits is all that is really required to welcome guests who have probably travelled several hours. More importantly, the key code box is not by the garage, the house has no garage it is by the French doors, we only discovered this because the next door neighbour came out and told us. The box is placed very low down and to get the key you have to literally get down on your hands and knees. The seal around the kitchen sink needs re doing ASAP, it looks and probably is a health hazard. T.V aerial connection had disintegrated (owner notified) 3 t.v handsets, not only confusing but the batteries in all of them seemed to be flat No brochures of local attractions, places to go etc and the information pk could do with an update. Hooks missing from bathroom door No blind at the bathroom window!!!! No kitchen scissors and only one sharp knife, which was blunt. It might sound as though we have gone through the house with a pencil and notebook, this is not the case, we have noted these things as they have impacted our stay It is a shame that an otherwise lovely house has been let down by things which are basic and what a guest should reasonably expect
