  If you're looking for all mod-cons and flashy decorations then this is not the place for you.

  If on the other hand you would like a spacious old fashioned cottage on a working (Quiet) farm a short drive from some of the best sights in Cornwall, then you're in luck. Comfy beds, luxury bath towels, loads of crockery, fresh flowers, a nice welcome pack and a table ready laid for a night-in were a few of the positives. Unfortunately there was no hand soap in the bathroom, loo or kitchen, and no gels for the shower - though the pictures do show some. A quick trip to the local Co-op solved that oversight. This is a very warm house so we didn't resort to the open fire (Note: You have to take/buy your own logs/coal) and the boiler is a bit noisy when it fires-up. This house isn't perfect or precious but it's not expensive and has character. We would recommend it to anyone.

  On arrival central heating & lights on and a lovely welcome basket. Also milk, butter & cheese in the fridge & the bottle of wine was very much appreciated after a long drive. No expense spared with toiletries. The property was wonderful clean and tidy and open plan. The kitchen was beautiful. Just an observation, no blinds or curtains on French windows, would be nice for some privacy. The garden was enclosed for the dog, side gate was not locked, no padlock. Walking distance to the harbour. Fantastic location for eating out in Port isaac, nice stroll back to the property to watch the DVD's Doc Martin. Would definitely stay in Miss Fishers again.

  The Brambles is located at the back of the park, the patio doors open onto a gorgeous area with rose bushes and seating area which creates a private environment. The chalet had a home from home feel with everything needed for our stay. The chalet was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. Parking is very close to the chalet. The check in and out process was easy and the owners communication was great. The Brambles is a short drive from the 7 bays and Padstow. St merryn has some good places to eat in or take away if you want and the closest super market is Tesco in Padstow. I would definitely return.

  Im not sure my review would be all that appropriate on here for the language I would want to use.

  I will say be very careful booking through this company, also be very careful when booking at Trevena the owner isn’t what she seems, no compassion just money oriented. This property DOES NOT have WIFI and the phone signal isn’t intermittent it’s NONE EXISTENT. The property is further from the main road then the map shows you, very small farm track, unmade roads. This property isn’t ideal for anyone with any medical needs. My advice would be to avoid SYKES HOLIDAY COTTAGES and certainly the property TREVENA , there are plenty of other website with beautiful properties available.

  Cottage and location absolutely lovely. With a little rearranging in the kitchen, a dishwasher would be a great addition. WiFi would also be really handy, if you were staying a while - I managed to miss that when I booked, although it was clearly stated. A pretty little and cosy cottage which was really well appointed. Nice touches with the cream tea, essentials provided and some beautiful flowers. A slightly later check out than 9am would be super if possible (lots of other cottages have a 10am check out time). Would definitely come back another time!
