What our customers say about their holidays

Really enjoyed our break - 4 adults and two grandchildren.
Quite a few issues when we arrived, light bulb missing in the bedroom bedside lamp, no plug in ensuite bathtub, door didn't stay closed in bedroom, tumble dryer tripped out the electrics, downstairs shower temperature couldn't be adjusted. The owners happily came to inspect and some of the issues were rectified. We were also surprised we didn't receive a welcome pack as this is usual in all sykes cottages we have previously stayed in, however the owners did provide a dozen eggs at no charge. As we were leaving we had to retrieve a toy from behind a sofa, It was very dusty and didn't appear to have had a deep clean for a while. Mr and Mrs Evans were very friendly and were helpful with advice on where we should visit. The grandchildren loved their stay and thanks to Mr Evans for allowing our eldest grandchild to sit in his tractor and explore the farm.We had the pleasure of seeing one day old piglets, great base to stay for exploring the area around Cardigan and further afield.

The caravan was perfect for us, peace and tranquillity, in the best location.
We have stayed at Cemaes before and love the location. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely welcome card and 2 baskets of goodies, including wine, chocs, biscuits, bread, absolutely lovely. There was everything you could need, towels, tea towels, toilet rolls, shampoo, shower gel, tea, coffee, sugar, a fridge stocked with water and cans of pop for the kids, plus milk. Every pot and pan you could need! The owners Steven and Runglawan went out of their way to make us welcome, and even looked after our dog, Rusty, so we could go for a family meal. We had brought our own stuff but didn't need to use any of it. Really good wifi, great smart tv. It is very spacious and comfortable. In fact, so good, we've booked to go again. Rusty had the best holiday ever, running around the fields. Can't say a bad thing about it, just a thank you to Steven,Runglawan, and Lily for making us feel so welcome. Much appreciated.

We were very happy with the accommodation and felt that everything we could possibly need had been provided, far more than anything place we've ever stayed before, which was really nice.
The accommodation was reasonably priced. The surrounding areas were really beautiful and the people really nice and friendly. I would give the home and the experience we had a 10/10 despite the few bits that weren't 100% to our satisfaction, only because it's impossible to keep everyone happy 100% of the time and because it's clear that a great deal of thought has gone into making this home as comfortable as possible for every guest who chooses to stay there and because I'd be happy to stay there again and to recommend this place to friends and family. The only recommendations I would make is to replace the kettle, as it takes a long time to fully boil the water and to ensure that things like the microwave and the furniture beneath the cushions, etc. are cleaned more thoroughly for the next guest(s) stay â¡ Other than that, everything was honestly perfect! Thank you so much!

Generally the flat was clean and well equipped with all the things we needed.
The wi-fi was good but the mobile phone signal was non existent unless you used the phone via wi-fi. We found the sofas looked very nice but weâre not comfortable to sit on unless you lay on them. However, we had one major criticism and that was the showers, they were absolute death traps for anyone who was older as the trays became like an ice rink as soon as they became wet. The worst of the two was the main bathroom shower where I fell over once. We finally found the anti slip mat in a drawer but this really wasnât big enough to cover the whole tray. My wife felt that it may have been the cleaning solution that the cleaners used that was making them like this. Certainly this needs addressing before someone has a bad fall. Otherwise, everything was excellent and we enjoyed our rather truncated stay despite the weather.

A beautifully situated cottage, fabulous views, walks, a shop and pubs nearby.
Lovely comfortable beds, but cottage could do with a little TLC. All the white goods you could need but no sharp kitchen prep knives and a few other basics, not enough crocks to run a dishwasher. Need a better cleaner, butter on chopping board, tea stains running down washing machine, crocks left in dishwasher. Old used toiletries and old soap(with hairs) left in bathroom/shower room, used washing up sponge/cloth and dried out air fresheners ! The neighbours were all lovely and showed us their rear patios, beautiful, this one is unusable, rusty and overgrown, beware large brambles if you venture out of back door !! No info booklet about how to use equipment, where to put rubbish/ recycling, heating controls, fuse boxes, emergecy doctors/hospitals/vets etc etc
