  Short answer: fabulous place which provided an excellent backdrop to the best half term holiday I've had.

  100% recommend. Longer answer: beautiful farmhouse, tastefully decorated, with plenty of shared space and good sized rooms for the whole family. So much thought went into making it comfortable and feeling like a treat. It is somehow both incredibly family and dog-friendly as well as romantic and pampering. Travel cot provided. Dog beds and blankets and even treats! The kitchen is the best stocked holiday kitchen I've seen. Enough space to prepare and eat meals. A separate utility area was large and very useful. The views from the garden are brilliant. Enjoying the evening sun in the large garden and watching the sun set was a highlight. There is a little playhouse with a slide, and at night the fairy lights come on, making it seem magical to the children. There is a separate, enclosed outside space for hanging washing, rinsing wetsuits etc. Ample parking - 5 cars easily parked on the driveway. Jo was so accommodating and helpful. She invited us to visit the working farm, which was as much a treat for the children as for the adults. Her knowledge and care for the animals was impressive. This was the best farm visit I've ever had - another highlight of the week. Plentiful information about the local area was available. Jo clearly cared about making our stay a really positive experience, and I would say without hesitation that she succeeded. We loved our stay - thank you!

  We thought this property was amazing.

  Exactly what we needed for a chilled week away! We thought the facilities were superb and in good condition overall. The riding school was such a great addition to our holiday. The staff were so accommodating and informative and our little girl loved going in to watch them mucking out. The classes are well priced and all 4 of our girls enjoyed the hack down the lane. The owners were quick to respond to any queries we had and were friendly but non intrusive. The gym was well equipped and had more than we expected and we loved the fact we could use all the facilities as and when we wanted. Having the keys ourselves was a nice touch. The hot tub was clean and ready for use as soon as we got there which after 5 hours of driving was needed! The kitchen is well equipped and we could easily cook our meals with no need for our own equipment. My only minor issue was the fire doors on the property were very squeaky and could do with a little oiling. This is not really a problem but after putting our 2 year old to bed, the noise was quite loud and would occasionally wake her up. Aside from this, we would absolutely book again and have already recommended you to our friends and family!!

  The house had plenty of space for out party of 9 and could not be faulted for location, with an excellent view from the patio over Coverack bay.

  Our youngest grandchildren loved the space the garden provides to play and explore while the older ones mad use of the loungers on the patio to soak up the sun. We spotted dolphins and whales in the bay and various birds in the trees. The new kitchen had everything we needed and more. Minor niggles were that the locks on the external doors were rather stiff and would probably benefit from a bit of oil and our en suite bathroom door could not be shut properly. In addition our bathroom had a couple of unfinished edges to the 'marble' panels. The fact that access to the games room was through the ground floor bedroom could have caused problems as there was no door separating them. This wasn't evident from the photographs of the property. There were other minor handyman tasks required, but towards the end of a busy season they are to be expected. Overall we really enjoyed our week at Penmarth House and came away with many happy memories.

  We had a lovely holiday at Trewenna.

  The house was really lovely and catered all 9 of us very well! Well looked after and lovely owners. The swimming pool, hot tub and multiple games rooms were enjoyed very much by our family (especially our 2 1/2 year old who thought the basket ball room was great for just running up and down). Was very central to everything that we had planned to do whilst we stayed here and felt very homely when we came back after long days out, even after having the best weather. House was very safe for our 2 1/2 year old and we couldn’t have asked for better when travelling with a young child. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would stay here again in the future! We would just like to thank the owner’s especially for letting us in after arriving early and showing us round personally to all the rooms and facilities on site! An amazing holiday that sadly had to come to an end!

  As a combined family of 3 spanning 3 generations we had the most wonderful stay at Pentira!

  The house is so beautifully quirky with nooks and cranny’s that it really feels like a home. The bedrooms are all so gorgeous with such pretty wallpaper and the most luxurious bedding. There are even bathrobes to match! Everything has been thought of by the wonderful owners who are so welcoming and can’t do enough to make sure your stay is perfect! It’s cosy enough in winter to relax by the open fire or in summer to laze I’m the hammock in the gorgeous Cornish cottage garden. Situated on the Lizard there are so many stunning places to visit and Kennack Sands beach is just a 10/15 min walk away down a hill, perfect for blowing the cobwebs away wotever the weather! All in all we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this beautiful Cornish gem ❤️
