What our customers say about their holidays
Mrs H - Verified booking
The cottage is charming, obviously quite old but decorated very well in a modern style, easy access to the local beaches, supermarket 5 mins away and local takeaways if you don't want to cook. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; the kitchen has everything you need including a good sized table to eat at if you don't want to use the dining room. The garden room and patio at the back get the morning sun and soon warm up, ideal for your morning coffee. Upstairs the master bedroom is amazing with a huge en-suite with a fantastic bath in the corner. Lots of storage in all the bedrooms. The back garden is quite steep and accessed by steps with a gate at the top. There is a fence at the edge of the grass to avoid tumbling down onto the patio. We had a dog with us but restricted her to the front garden which has only a gentle slope, as we had a lot of rain, we felt this would make the back garden too slippery (we went in October). We booked the whole house so my husband could sleep in the conservatory, he would not have managed the steep narrow 'Norfolk' stairs! The only down side was a team of gardeners/maintenance men who turned up without any notice the day before we went home, which meant we couldn't use any of the outside space, they also painted the back gate which was then blocked off, so no access to the back garden. This would not be a regular occurrence, we just picked the wrong week to go. Overall I would give it five stars and certainly return there in the future.

Comfortable, functional and in an excellent location for access to the beach at Old Hunstanton. Nice, contemporary decor, enclosed garden was a particular bonus as we were travelling with our dog. Comfortable beds, good bed linen. Lovely open fire. Very cosy and well equipped for a small family or couple. The bathroom is very small, so unlikely to appeal to two couples travelling together. With parking costs being what they are it is extremely useful to have quick access by foot to the beach. Nice to have a good size kitchen and also a dining room. A nice welcome pack of some cookies, apple juice and crisps. The dog was very comfortable on a nice bed and also the addition of a large throw was very thoughtful. A good value stay in an excellent location.

Don't bother, we were very disappointed especially at the price point, the place is tired and when we arrived dirty and grubby so we had to unload the car and set too cleaning the floors, crockery and cutlery, This is a shame as you basically lose a day so they can supposedly do a deep clean, we even cut our holiday short by a day although the place was cleaner on our departure than on our arrival. There are no instructions for anything, usually you find a file with WiFi passwords, heating and other appliances there is nothing at all.so we had to muddle through as best we could. The dining table chairs were so old the seats sagged through when you used them and you can only get 4 channels on the TV even though it's Freeview.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location, very close to three supermarkets, the town centre and beach and also the bus and train stations. The cottage was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the garden was well equipped and secure for our dog. We would really recommend the coastal bus trip to Wells and taking the train to Hoveton and lWroxham to hire a boat. We also took the train into Norwich. There is a lot to do in the area - we will definitely return to do the many things we couldn't fit in on this trip. We weren't very lucky with the weather on this occasion, but Cromer and the surrounding beaches and villages are beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

We returned to this lovely cottage and once again enjoyed the delights of the cottage itself and the local area. Cheney Hollow is a great place to stay and the dogs had the benefit of the lovely spacious garden, sharing it with the local wildlife including a little deer. Lunch at Norfolk Lavender and Thaxters were very nice and there are miles of beach walks to be had. Only one very small point the sofas in the living room are not that comfortable and would be better served by the ones in the conservatories, that said we didn't go there to watch tv. The conservatories are stunning lovely places to enjoy a glass of wine after a busy day.
