What our customers say about their holidays

No complaints.
A 3 bedroom mid terrace house. Very spacious living room, fair sized dining area. 2 double and 1 small bedroom. We only used 1 bedroom which was very comfortable. The house was nice and cool inside during the very hot spells. Kitchen was pretty well stocked and anyone could cook any meal without any problems. A good shower and plenty of hot water. We never used the TV so can't comment, wi fi good indoors . If anyone is on O2 there is no mobile connection, despite their map saying there is. 4g in West bexington is non existent. Gripes, no oven gloves, no grater, only 2 dishwasher tablets and no spare toilet roll. As a gardener I found the very basic garden care frustrating! Would we go back? Definitely consider it, very good base, friendly neighbours and a choice of 2 good places to eat. Lots to explore, especially if you are a walker. The beach is large shingle and mainly used by beach fishers, swimming only advised if you are competent and strong.

The property was filthy, faeces in the toilet.
The whole place thick with dust, dirty floors. dirty sink. dirty bath. mould in washing machine making it unusable. spent my first day cleaning. bathroom sink taps needed fixing. bed very uncomfortable, mattress old and thin. dirty sheets in the twin room. pictures advertising the place are old, furniture and ornaments have been removed. No welcome pack. dog bowl was green. We were not allowed in till 5 pm, we assumed it was because they were cleaning thoroughly due to covid. NO CLEANING HAD BEEN DONE! just towels left. had to be out by 10am so you pretty much loose a whole days holiday. Then spend your first day cleaning. so 2 days lost. Beware The owners are conning you! NO Cleaning or Maintenance has been done. We stayed here 4 years ago and it was lovely, clean comfortable, lovely welcome basket for us and one for the dog. This time was such a disappointment. The area is nice, but for the money im sure you could find a cleaner place to stay

This was our second stay at Kerridge, Cerne Abbas and we had another lovely week.
It is an ideally situated property for exploring Dorset and the coast set in a beautiful village with lovely walks not far from the property. The property itself is very clean and comfortable and my partner and I and our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay again and we certainly hope to visit again. The village shop is a real bonus and I can recommend it. Our only one minor thing which we found was a problem was the television aerial was loose fitting into the back of the television. As a result the picture was breaking up now and again and sometimes no picture at all. I appreciate people donât go on holiday to watch tv, but it is useful in the evenings or if the weather is wet. Otherwise another perfect holiday and please thank the owner for the very kind gift of the welcome hamper, greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We arrived at the cottage after a long drive, and what a lovely welcome we had, the hamper was a lovely touch!
What an absolutely beautiful cottage! I fell in love with the cottage and the village. Every thing you could need for your stay is supplied. The dogs loved it, the treats left for them and the garden was a nice size for them to have a play and relieve themselves when needed. We had numerous walks through the village, we all adored the quirky ness! We ate one evening in the pub which was lovely as the dogs where welcome too. We found a lovely little fish and chip place, which I left the postcode for in the guest book. We visited the Jurassic coast, what a beautiful place. The weather was warm but rainy so we did what we could. We would definitely return here one day.

Cottage could be better looked after especially the garden.
Old picnic table could be replaced with newer more comfortable garden furniture, fence could be maintained and repaired so dog is secure in the garden, a parasol for the table would have allowed us to eat outside in the sunshine and enjoy the outside area and weeds could be removed. A coffee machine would be good addition to kitchen. Bed in main bedroom was comfortable, kitchen pretty well-equipped and the owner was very helpful and quickly at the property when we had small issue with a stuck cupboard door on day 1. Location is great, very close to the sea and lovely pub/restaurant with good walking possiblities all around the area and along the coastal path.
