  The rural setting is outstanding, and we spent each evening on the patio admiring the spectacular views.

  With sheep roaming the fields below, it's easy to forget the stresses of modern-day life. Our pod was impeccably equipped and spotless. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the fresh farm eggs and biscuits that had been provided! Alex was very attentive every morning, ensuring that our private hot tub was kept clean and heated throughout the day. It was always ready whenever we wanted to use it, which we did after our walks and again to watch the sunset, glass of wine in hand! The Wi-Fi was excellent, and I was able to conduct a few business meetings online without any issues. Additionally, Lucy was extremely well-organized and responsive, always eager to help with any questions or concerns. We highly recommend Rooster's Rest—it's simply impossible to go wrong. Alex and Lucy are exceptional hosts.

  Gors is a lovely little cottage secluded by being on a lower level than the main A458 road and therefore out of sight. It is ideally placed for access to all areas of mid and north Wales. There is a little stream running through the garden. There is everything you would need for a pleasant and comfortable break. We have a little dog who absolutely loves Gors and the little paddock adjoining the cottage is ideal for a dog to exercise. For those who want wi-fi access, the signal at Gors is strong and solid. A new feature is a second bathroom upstairs which we found very handy! There is a fish and chip shop and chinese take away in Llanfair Caereinion and shopping is easy in the Tesco store at Welshpool which is only about 30 minutes away. This was our 4th visit and we will definitely be back.

  Lovely cottage within walking distance of local shops, chip shop, restaurants, pub and the castle. The local Spar is well stocked for essentials and local produce. There are larger supermarkets a short drive away. There’s a walk just down the hill going out of town around 2 small lakes, which was great for the dog. This is through farmland with grazing sheep so leads are essential. Nice rural location to explore other parts of mid-Wales and beyond. If you have a car you can easily get around. The Llanfair-Welshpool railway isn’t too far away and was a lovely way to spend half a day. Cottage itself is ideal for 2 people. It warms up quickly with the heaters and the log burner is available for chillier nights. If you’re after a chilled out place to stay, this is ideal!

  We had the most peaceful stay at Roosters Rest!

  The view from the balcony is beautiful by day with grazing sheep on the rolling hills and by night with the thousands of stars. The hot tub was perfect and we loved that you could get into it straight from the balcony so that doggo was safe on the balcony and could still be near us. The hut itself is very well thought out in terms of space and practicality and the interiors were modern and cosy. The location is perfect, only 20 minutes from Eden Valley where we walked to look at the dams on both days we were there. We didn’t feel the need to go out to eat as cooking at the pod and sitting on the balcony was so perfect. So pleased we found this little gem and can’t wait to be back. Thank you Aled and Lucy for being so helpful and friendly.

  House is a lovely quaint old stone cottage, with original beams and attic style bedrooms. In a lovely secluded countryside location just off a main through road. Wonderful host who has thought of everything you could need. Brilliant fishery a couple of hundred meters away for your fishing needs. the House is perfectly located hidden down its own drive for simply escaping the world or equally for a more active break of trips and visits around mid Wales with it being on the main through road.
