  Charm Cottage is such an apt name for this wonderful and quirky cottage.

  As you step through the front door you enter a calm and tranquil sanctuary. A wonderful social setting for you and your loved ones. You walk over the threshold into a large room that is superbly laid out with 3 double sofas and a family dining table. The kitchen is down 2 steps and is kitted out to suit everyones needs. There is a ground floor full bath plus shower, toilet etc, very spacious bathroom. Paito doors lead from the kitchen into a large courtyard garden, great for outdoor dining and most importantly sorting through your fossil finds. Up the stair case leads you to 2 double bedrooms one with ensued (toilet and sink) plus a separate shower room (with toilet). The mattresses on all of the beds were so comfortable, we all went straight off to sleep as soon as our heads hit the super comfortable pillows. Then there was another flight of stairs up to the loft bedroom that my grandson loved, with a fantastic view out of the large window. A few minutes walk from Charm Cottage (2 or 3 minutes) is the Royal Oak Inn where you can have the most sumptuous meals, far superior and better quality food than any London establishment, You can meander down to the Beach via Lower Sea Lane, about a 10 minute walk from Charm Cottage, to either fossil hunt or just relax and watch the world go by. We did not want to leave Charm cottage. We will definitely be booking again in the Autumn for another stay at this Charming cottage.

  We were very disappointed to receive an email on the first morning of our holiday (email not seen till arrived) that the next door neighbour was having solar panels fitted.

  On contacting LBH (phone) we were advised that these works would only take about half a day. This proved to be inaccurate. The scaffolding was taken down on about the Monday, workers then reappeared on Weds afternoon and had a half day getting the property ready for the solar panels, they then returned on the Thurs morning and were still there at 2.30 when we decided to vacate the property and go home. We were obviously misinformed about the length and the times of the works and the drilling etc had an impact on our enjoyment of the property. I would also add that I was not impressed that I had to ring LBH to ask questions regarding the works as I could not respond to their email advising of the issues. Also, having spoken to someone (Mia I think) at LBH I was promised a call back on my mobile phone within 30 mins which never happened, however, on returning home there was a phone message on my landline, not much use as I was obvioulsy not at home. I did infact notice a message on my LBH account which I was unable to respond to and could not be bothered to ring again. I think that LBH need to change the way they expect clients to liaise with them, firstly by allowing emails from them to be replied to. Also, by allowing messages on the LBH account to be responded to. It almost seems that you do not want to deal with issues and therefore make it has inconvenient as possible for holiday makers to raise issues.

  Super location,however instructions on how to open the garage would have been appreciated as we and others we asked to help agreed it was not easy.

  Lovely holiday bungalow, a super welcome gift which was a lovely surprise. The beds are wonderful, I tried to see what they were as I would like to have the mattress for one at home, but couldn't see any labels, sadly. Comfort wise there ,full marks, slept like logs. It was clean and adequately equipped, a normal grater and omelette pan would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, a few things need attention, the patio sliding doors were hard to use, a strong person has to move them. The garden really does need some TLC, plants were growing over the steps, a lot of weeds , it just looks so neglected,which is such a pity as there are some lovely plants. The lounge did smell of dog, but we opened the window and didn't use the room,which was fine , we are very grateful dogs are allowed. Great pity,Lymebay Holidays are so hard to contact, they give out a phone number,but a recorded message tells you the number is no longer available ! We don't expect to email on a Sunday to ask about opening a garage door.They are slow to respond too even by email.

  Firstly thank you for providing all accurate information.

  One thing I think that would benefit your future clients is if people realise how close the proximity to the beach really is! It's brilliant, it's just straight up the hill around the corner and down the lane. I couldn't really tell how close even on Google maps and I couldn't understand what East Fleet and West Fleet was until we got to the beach and could understand that Chesil was directly across the stretch of water. Our pup absolutely enjoyed it all as much as we did. We brought his crate with us so he could sleep in it at night as he normally does. The garden was a fabulous bonus, I can't tell you how many properties we looked at that didn't have a stretch of garden or grass. Your cottage ticked everything we needed and the garden was an essential. The bed was super comfy, bathroom was spot on. We didn't intend on staying in for dinners and took some of your recommendations for eating out with the dog being allowed too. Thank you and we would love to return.   The cottage was lovely.

  The welcome hamper was very inviting. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was much enjoyed. We had a lovely holiday. However, there was a definite doggie smell in the living room, which did diminish as the week progressed with proper ventilation. Prior to hoovering the the living room carpet, to try to get rid of the smell, "the Hetty" needed emptying. The carpet under the rug was covered in what looked like long black doghair. The two living room throw spent the week in a plastic bag as they were malodorous. This failure to clean up after dogs could have had dire consequences for anyone with an allergy to dog fur.
