  The Catlow is a very spacious comfortable property in a beautiful, peaceful little village setting. The perfect property for getting away from the stresses of everyday life. The little garden is perfect for dogs. It was lovely to sit out with a coffee and watch the sheep & pheasants in the field next to the garden. The Sycamore Inn which is the local village pub is only a few hundred yards away & serves great food which is well worth the wait. It's the perfect base for visiting all the local attractions. We visited Carsington Water, The Tissington Trail & Dovedale which are all great for walkers. The Old Dog just off the Tissington Trail do a lovely Sunday Lunch. Overall we had a lovely restful time, the only thing that spoilt it was the few rainy days we had. We've already booked to go back next year hopefully with more sunshine next time. We would highly recommend.

  We had a lovely holiday here. The property was very well equipped and the furniture/bedding/utensils were all of a high standard. We enjoyed the welcome basket and thought it was a nice touch. The coffee machine was great and the owner had supplied a generous amount of different pods to go in it. The bath and shower were good. The garden wraps around the property and this gives it a secluded feel. The village of Parwich is beautiful and the people were very friendly. We visited the pub for drinks a couple of times, did plenty of walking (there are loads of footpaths from the village as well as further afield) and the cycling was great too. The property is dog friendly so there was a bit of hair around but overall it was extremely clean and tidy. Great to have a high chair and travel cot provided too. Thank you!

  A delightful warm and cosy cottage with everything you need for a lovely, relaxing holiday.

  It was certainly home from home. We enjoyed the Welcome Pack which included milk, bubbly and human and dog treats. There was also plenty of supplies in the store cupboards. This is the first holiday cottage that we have stayed in that has supplied all day-to-day essentials. Enclosed front and rear yard areas for our 2 terriers. Perfectly situated for all the local amenities and local walks. Enjoyed regular walks along the flat Sett Valley Trail with a lovely welcoming Cafe half way (1 mile). Slightly disappointed with local eateries, although enjoyed Sunday lunch and an evening meal at The Lamb Inn, which is a short drive away. Will hopefully be returning to The Cottage again. Thank you.

  We had a really good stay.

  We have been to hayfield before but we would definitely book your cottage again. The cottage was better than we hoped. The welcome pack, wine, milk tea, coffee , sugar plus all the extras provided was very generous. Thank you very much. We did not need to worry about anything we may have missed. The cottage is in a lovely spot very central to all our needs .It was so peaceful and relaxing. There is plenty of out door and in door space. The outdoor space is also private with back and front sitting out area. A parking space of your own no need to carry your bags far. The owner Pat has really thought about her guests thank you again for a really enjoyable holiday

  We loved the isolation of this property to enjoy complete peace and quiet.

  Couldn't fault the cottage with everything we needed to cook our home made meals and really comfortable. Owners were very generous with provisions and home made cake was perfection! Would be good to have one of the beds as proper double (2 singles together in both rooms so you do end up in the gap in middle). Walks from doorstep although finding way back to farm wasn't easy for us (from Rushley Bridge make sure you go past farm buildings before taking left signpost off road). We did 2 day walks from house but some of the other well known Peaks walks were about an hour's drive away. Ilam Park very close by was beautiful.
