  We had a wonderful holiday. We made the mistake of going to Chubby seals craft ale bar before we read the cooker instructions on the 1st day but it was easy to follow once you knew how! The bar is well worth a visit.There was 5 adults sharing the house and theres plenty of room. Lovely fixtures and fittings and kitchen very well equipped. The house is on a main road but theres very good double/triple glazing so not an issue and its lovely and warm. Lovely to have car parking at the house. Holt is a lovely town with lots of independent shops plenty to do in the surrounding area. We visited wells next the sea, sandringham, holkham, sheringham, cromer, burnham market, holt nature park. We hired a boat and went on the broads for the day which was wonderful, very relaxing and plenty of places to stop off for lunch. We were lucky with the weather mainly so that was a bonus. We visited between 11th to 18th april. Thankyou for the welcome pack, much appreciated. Would happily recommend

  Loved the property - Holt is lovely but very quiet of an evening the reason we picked Holt was because of the High Street Location - but so quiet of an evening that once you had eaten it was back to the house to watch tv (not what we would usually do on holiday) If you are a hiker/walker, dog lover, bird watcher/nature lover Norfolk is for you if not go somewhere else. We found the journey was better than the destination. The countryside is stunning, the towns once you get there less so, we visited Cley, Sherringham, Hunstanton, Cromer,Burnham Market, Norwich, Burnham Staithe, Blakeny Staithe, Blakeney, Wells next the Sea, although pretty towns you really can walk round them within an hour (except Norwich) we also tried Great Yarmouth - so sad to see a seaside town from your childhood looking so down at heel.

  What can I say! We’ve had such a lovely week away in Norfolk made even better with our stay here. Everything was perfect and made very special by all the lovely home comforts; the bed with gorgeous bedding and pillows, thick white fluffy towels in the bathroom and the kitchen stocked with high quality utensils including beautiful glasses (very important)! The log burner was a hit making evenings very cozy but outside has everything you’ll need when the sun comes out. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts; they were very accommodating and wanted everything to be perfect, even left goodies for us; thank you for a lovely stay.

  Was perfect. Loved the house and location. Walking the very short distance to shops and cafes was super. Grandparents had their bedroom and bathroom downstairs and we had the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. Washing machine was great... able to come home with suitcases of clean clothes. Used the bbq one evening. Welcome refreshments were a treat. Comfortable living room. My youngest loved the board games available. Super large bath. Although by the main road as mentioned in the details, can reassure noise was minimal or not at all noticeable. 2 good car park spaces at the back. Highly recommend

  My son and I had a wonderful and peaceful stay at The Hermitage.

  The owners, Annette and Mick, were so kind, helpful and friendly and even put a birthday card through the door when it was my birthday. Nothing was too much trouble! We loved the comfortable setting, the peace and quiet, the huge TV, the real fire, the massive conservatory, the BBQ facilities and the hens...who came onto the patio near our door on several mornings. It was lovely to watch the birds on the bird feeder too. The property was very close to our much loved Sheringham and there is plenty else nearby to do. We can't wait to come back!
