What our customers say about their holidays

As four former female schoolfriends (now of a certain age) we stayed in Mill House at the beginning of December for a pretend Christmas.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The house is well equipped and set to a high standard. Even during Covid times there wasn't anything more we needed than was provided. The open plan layout upstairs meant that even if one of us was cooking, we didn't feel on our own and could easily join in with the others. We only met the owner, Bridget, once due to Covid restrictions, but felt that if we had any issues we could easily have spoken to her (she lives opposite Mill House) and it would have been dealt with. Bridget even, with our permission, entered the property to put up a wonderful Christmas tree whilst we were out one day which made the week even more special. Mill House is in a gated complex with three other properties and is well situated, being just outside Falmouth, for easy access to most of the south west end of Cornwall for getting out and about. The village has a pub serving homely food, an excellent general shop and post office, a coffee house and a lovely gift shop. All within easy walking distance. There is adequate car parking on the complex and is away from outside the properties to give extra privacy to guests. The car parking area has an electric vehicle charging point which was a huge relief to one of our party. The weather was slightly against us for our week, but we did manage one early evening to make use of the hot tub to watch the sun go down! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mill House and as such we have booked to go back again in December this year!

You approach on a narrow road with no passing places, I imaging in summer this would be pot luck to whether you'd meet another car and have a 500m reverse or not!
One parking space on an incline, which was often parked in by others. Outdoor decking is dirty, covered in debris which has not been cleaned since autumn. The banister on the desking is rotten and would probably snap if you were to lean on it. The chairs and table outside (on both decks) are dirty and rusty. Windows are filthy, both internal (covered in previous dogs slaver) and externally. Moving into the property, sofas are damaged and worn, general cleanliness is shocking - large clumps of previous dog hair, dirty/dusty skirtings, marks on walls and furniture, sand on floors, stairs carpet dirty and stained. TV in main lounge does not pick up most channels - had to change remote batteries. In kitchen ceiling spot lights not working, fridge has a damaged seal so struggles to cool, oven has had all symbols rubbed away so difficult to use. Kitchen window and blind are filthy, kitchen door handle broken. Outdoor area to rear was covered in leaves, twigs and general mess. Door leading to this area had a broken handle. Hot tub cover was covered in bird mess... luxury this area was not! Upstairs, again floors, windows and furniture dirty. Bed was 'okay' I'm not sure its a kingsize though like advertised - two singles pushed together. Main bedroom door handle broken so couldn't close door - balcony out of bedroom glass railing was filthy and seats were rusty. The house in general could do with a good clean and refresh. Overall disappointing!

My wife and I have just spent a thoroughly enjoyable fortnight's stay at the cottage.
On arrival we found the property extremely well prepared with welcoming gifts of bottles of Cornish cider, chocolates and cream teas. On the second day, Steve the owner, came to check that we were settled in okay and that everything was to our satisfaction. I am 81 years old and use crutches and I mentioned that I had difficulty with the one step leading to the front door. On returning from our day out I found that he had installed a small ramp to make it easier for me. I was amazed at such a level of consideration. It made all the difference to our holiday and showed a level of service far beyond what I would normally expect. The Hot Tub was discreetly enclosed for privacy and my wife enjoyed a relaxing soak each morning. At the end of the first week Steve asked if we would like the cleaner to come in and change the bedlinen and towels. I thought that this was a very nice touch as at other places we have spent a fortnight in we have had to make do with the original towels and bedlinen for the entire stay. The location of the cottage makes access to both the North and South coasts easy. If you fancy dining out the local pub/restaurant Lanivet Inn is one and a half miles away and serves excellent food at reasonable prices. We dined there four times during our stay. In summary I would highly recommend Rosewarrick Cottage as the perfect hideaway for a relaxing holiday.

The barn exceeds our expectations.
Everything was more than we could ask for. The Mill House is one of 4 barns inside the property with loads of parking spaces. When we get inside the house everything was so clean and organise and the information book was really helpful as it contain from instructions about how to work appliances to information about places to eat nearby. It has a cozy fire place and they already provided some firewood, you can ask for more for a price but we already had enough on our stay. They had an all surround sound with a built in Ipad, they also have TVs in each bedroom. The hot tub was located outside - and all I can say is that we enjoyed that one. The kitchen has everything we could ask for, there utensils and baking stuff available. The owner Bridget, we met briefly but not seen her again but she was always one message away. It was really good as we enjoyed our privacy. We couldnât asks for more, these gave us the feeling of self-catering accommodation but also felt like weâre staying in a hotel. We would recommend this barn to anyone.

Lovely cottage, absolutely spotlessly clean on arrival.
Thoughtful touches of a goody bag of treats for us and treats for our Westie. Everything you could need for a self catering holiday but there are a few things which could be improved upon. Not enough hanging space for clothes and the size of the drawers in the chest of drawers in the bedrooms were not of a good size for storing clothes in. Only good enough for socks, underwear etc. Internal doors need oiling as very squeaky. Nowhere in bathroom to place items. Didnât really want to place them on the toilet and surrounding area. Not very hygienic. Just a couple of extra shelves would be great. Wash basin was way too small as you could not fill it with a lot of water as it spilt over the side and onto the floor. Boiler system noisy. Would recommend family and friends to stay here without any doubt. Treesoth Cottages is a great location very quiet and peaceful and ideally located for visiting other areas in Cornwall.
