  The Cart House is the most magnificent place to stay.

  You couldn't wish for better accommodation or better hosts. A lovely welcome on arrival with a milk and orange juice in the fridge and tea and coffee provided. The barn conversion is really clean and modern with bluetooth speakers installed, Smart TV's in each room and other little quirky gadgets which is just great. Everything you would need is provided. A laundry room is available with washing machine and tumble dryer. All towels, tea towels and bedding are provided as is fully equipped kitchen with every pan and utensil you would need plus a Tassimo coffee machine! The Orchard containing the hot tub is just a dream, it has it's own private little bar and the scenery around you is fantastic. Some people may be put off by the fact there is a kennels and cattery on site - don't be. The animals didn't disturb us at all - we didn't really know they were there to be honest. A massive thank you to Matt and his family for making us feel so welcome. We will be back! :-)

  The holiday home is set in peaceful grounds of a working farm; surrounded by fields and nature (red kites and Kestrels could be seen daily).

  Foxes Meadow is adjacent to a field of lambs and just down the lane from the cottage owners private home, where they also have a couple of goats and a small holding of free roaming friendly chickens. The owners and their family are very welcoming and friendly, quickly making us feel at home and were very sweet with our daughter. The cottage (one of four) was a short 8 minutes drive from a couple of lovely restaurants (Drivers Thai and Gino’s Italian) and the local lake side and railway station (plus a large Tesco and Aldi). The nearby town of Landrindod Wells revamped the lakeside in 2021 with a new (free to use and park by) sandpit and water sport facilities. The latter being chargeable for £10 for 45 minutes of paddle board lessons for example. Down the road from the lake is also a pitch and putt mini golf course. The big hot tub was definitely a bonus and the views from it were spectacular. We will definitely return.

  Amazing property with beautiful views and absolutely everything you could need in self-catering accommodation.

  Hot tub was a nice touch and kept clean and as hygienic as possible throughout the week as a shared facility. Owners Matt and Dan were very helpful and friendly! Their cats Dom and Sausage were even more so coming for sleepovers on several of the nights and popping in for the occasional fuss- lovely, furry friends. The house in is a great location for people wanting to explore the local area; during the week we visited: Adrenaline Quarry (great for the dare devils), Carnglaze Caves (beautiful underground experience), Truro Farmers Market (a little further out, around 50 minutes but a nice shopping day), Looe Bay (amazing pasties, fish and chips at Kelly’s and a lovely soft sand beach) and 2 local supermarkets to get supplies for the week (Morrisons and Aldi). We may very well be returning in the future!

  A really wonderful and beautiful space.

  The Cart House was so special for New Year and we really enjoyed our stay. Matt was a lovely host and had everything prepared, finding a bottle of fresh milk at our door step on our first morning was a really lovely touch. Great facilities especially the kitchen which was perfect for cooking. The bedrooms were a great size and super comfy. A great location that was peaceful but also easy to then explore the area. Only a couple of small suggestions, I would have liked a full length mirror or better dressing table style mirror in the main bedroom. The hot tub was such a treat and we enjoyed it our first night but the second time we went to use it, it was very cold and too late to speak to our host which was a little disappointing. We’d absolutely go back again, such a wonderful place! Thank you for our stay.

  A lovely barn conversion , emaculate finish , very comfortable , equipped with everything that you would need & more , mod cons & great quirky touches inside & round the grounds .

  Matt a great host met us on arrival showed us where everything was , milk , juice , vase of flowers on arrival " nice touch ", Matt was very helpful for any info directions etc , brother Dan helped out with some tools for broken light on car . Met Dad who stopped to have a chat & not forgetting Sausage the cat a regular visitor. The orchard was an added bonus nice & peaceful , hot tub was spot on hot & clean we managed to get a bbq in on our last day . Location is remote peaceful only a few minutes drive from main roads is ideal & pretty central for getting out & about . Had a great week , would definitely go back to the Carthouse & would recommend Thank you to Matt for phoning us to let us know we had left something behind !! Big Thanks & all the best Matt & Dan .
