What our customers say about their holidays

We really loved staying at the Coach House.
It's such a peaceful and relaxing accommodation, a Grade II property full of character, yet bursting with all the trappings of modern day living. The perfect, soothing antidote to the madness of this chaotic world, wonderful. The beds were sumptuous, the shower was a perfect blast to kick off the day, the Kitchen covered all bases for our needs, and the Smart TV tech was top notch (once Nick patiently gave us old'uns a full demo!), and of course there was off-road private parking in the gravelled courtyard right next to the property making unloading of cases, etc, super easy. A special mention must be made for owners, Clare and Nick who are just the most gracious of hosts, and are always on hand to offer helpful information about the locality and all it has to offer. Blists Hill, a mere 10 minute walk, was an incredible experience, the local All Nations pub served some tasty heart-warming food together with a 10/10 pint from their own brewery, Ironbridge was a superb destination for a leisurely walk of 3 miles or so (Truffles cafe does lovely food, and a second walk led us to The Black Swan in Jackfield which was a revelation for pub food and a very decent pint indeed!), even a stroll around the local Churchyard offered some magical views across the countryside plus a little bird watching too. All in all, we had a lovely, memorable break at the Coach House, which we actually felt privileged to be able to stay at.

This is an absolutely amazing house!
Everything is done so well and each room is a delight. It is so spacious and comfortable. It was completely clean and everything was well maintained. Some reviews have mentioned the steep walk down to Ironbridge and it is true that there is a very definite incline...it didn't trouble us at all and we have stayed in this area before so knew what to expect. It may not be ideal for someone less mobile but there are very few places in Ironbridge that have level access. The upside of the slope is the fantastic views of the gorge from every window of the house. You can see clearly down to the bridge and everything was green and beautiful - the views made the house even more special. Parking is also always a bit of a challenge in the narrow streets around Ironbridge - we took a small car and the garage at the house worked perfectly for us, but there would have been on street parking not too far away every time anyway. All in all, we loved this house and I was sorry when it was time to leave. Next time we are back in the area, it will definitely be my first choice of places to stay.

Our stay at Beau cottage was perfect When you arrive- the front of the house is absolutely beautiful, the gardens are so nicely set out. The house itself, inside, is so well thought out- its cosy, comfortable and elegantly styled. The lounge has a good array of furniture with well thought out lighting- perfect seating for evening reading. The kitchen was amply stocked with everything we needed. The conservatory was gorgeous ( a little hot on some of the days we were there- but hey, we weren't complaining!) Upstairs the bedrooms were so beautifully decorated and the beds- oh my, such comfort! The bathroom was, as like the rest of the property, very thoughtfully designed and layed out. The shower was so good. Outside- there were so many areas to sit to enjoy the good weather ( which we were fortunate to have) Following the sun around the garden from morning to evening. The top patio was my favourite place- with gorgeous views. The BBQ there too was ideally situated. Ironbridge is a beautiful place to visit, so to stay in such a nice house made our week away perfect.

No 7 is approximately 30 minutes walk to Ironbridge.
Two museums conveniently situated directly opposite the house to visit and a fantastic but pricy cafe but these local attractions are not open Mondays or Tuesdays. Great location for all of the Blists Hill associated museums and you can also take dogs to Blists Hill and the gorge museum which is a big plus but none of the others we found allowed dogs. The cottage itself is very quaint, decorated and furnished to a good standard. I didnât realise I needed to bring a hairdryer as I assumed it would be a standard item, there are three televisions and three toilets! We visited end of February and the log burner is still not connected sadly and there is a draft from the fireplace but throws are provided, the heating works well and the water pressure is off the scale! Very handy large cloakroom. Hopefully the lighting in the bathroom and a shower issue will be fixed next time we come. Would highly recommend this place, especially if you like walking as there are lots of hill walks from the house locally, my boys spotted deer and a fox at close distance :)

This is a lovely cottage in a good area for branching out and visiting places such as Chester, Shrewsbury , Birmingham.
It was clean and tidy inside and the beds were really comfortable. There was ample kitchen utensils and appliances in the kitchen. Areas for improvement could include; The cooker hob took a little while to figure out without any instructions, leading us to have to google how to operate it. There was a definite underlying smell of damp in the downstairs WC with noticeable mould spores on the peeling paint. The upstairs bathroom had a damp smell too. It would have also been good to have control over the bathroom radiators as having to leave damp towels hanging around only added to the overall damp smell. There is no outside area to hang towels if it is sunny so they stayed damp throughout the week. It would have been useful to have a lamp in the sitting areas at night instead of the wall lights as these reflected onto the TV screen. We enjoyed our stay here and liked the cottage and its location but wouldnât stay again due to the dampness.
