we love the cottage and the owners are great. I have absolutely no complaints about the house but would politely suggest a dustpan and brush so people can tidy without lugging out the big hoover. Also a few more ovenproof dishes/cling film/foil - i do all the cooking when we are away and there are a few small omissions that would be helpful. A sieve too (not a teeny tea strainer) would be useful too as some people cook grains/bulgar wheat etc. colander holes too big. These are SMALL things....absouletly fab otherwise.We are booking again for June

We were very disappointed to be charged a high additional admin fee when we had to re-arrange our holiday booking due to my un-expected admission to hospital for open heart surgery. We had been given Rural Retreat gift vouchers by my daughter and son to treat ourselves to the three day break which then cost us quite an additional sum of money. We did feel this was unnecessary given that all we asked to do was change the dates of our booking which was for the same property.

We've really enjoyed our stay here - so beautiful and peaceful. The cottage had everything we could possibly want and the weather was kind to us despite the forecasts. We made it up to Offa's Dyke from both the Knighton and Chun ends. The Spaceguard centre (2 miles towards Knighton) is well worth a visit, we had an individual tour that lasted an hour and a half. A last minute 3 night break, just wish we were staying longer. Beautiful, cosy cottage in a stunning location. Had a great, very snowy walk up to Harley's Hill in deep snow on our first afternoon. Another snowy walk through the woods to Aardvark books/café and back. Excellent meal at The Stagg at Titley. Despite the very cold weather the cottage was lovely and warm - we didn't even get to light the woodburner. Thanks again. MH, South Wales
