What our customers say about their holidays

Clifftop Carriage is a real find.
It exceeded our expectations in every way - a perfect bolthole for a relaxing break for 2 people. The carriage is very well equipped with everything you need and quality fixtures and fittings throughout. A particular mention for a very comfortable king size bed and bedding - we slept so well. The combination of underfloor heating and the log burner works well and keeps the carriage cosy. The location is perfect with sea views from every window on one side of the carriage and decking and furniture for the sunny days. On the other side is off-road, secure parking right next to the carriage. It all feels very private and safe behind electrically operated security gates. Beyond the gate you are a stones throw from Aberporth beach or going the other way, you are similarly close to the clifftop path to Tresaith where The Ship Inn is recommended. We had one minor issue on arrival which the owner was quick to resolve with clear communication throughout. Overall, itâs clear that the owner takes pride in providing a really lovely place to stay. Highly recommended

Such a charming railway carriage that couldnât be no closer to the cliffs edge.
Views were outstanding. The coast path is close by and although we didnât see any seals or dolphins from the carriage we did see seals from the path. The balcony area is private and we enjoyed sitting outside even in October. One thing to note is the driveway was very tight and we just about got our Kuga through the gate to the parking space for our car. There is also a new house being built right next door. Whilst we were there there was no noise from the site. The carriage is tastefully furnished and had everything you needed to prepare a meal. The bed and furnishings were comfortable and internet was good. It was clean but some utensils needed re washing and the bins had bin juice at the bottom. The shower was warm and had a good output. Itâs certainly one of the more private carriages in the area. Aberporth is a lovely place to stay and everyone we encountered was so helpful and friendly.

Unique experience in the converted carriage.
Lovely privacy and just what was expected. Just a couple of minor issues where I would class this as a romantic accommodation for two so I felt it was under specced in terms of equipment. I never understand why people do not stock nice glassware as it adds to the experience so to not find champagne flutes and the only other wine glasses were those your find from a 70s pub experience (with one sip and it's gone and rims like jam jars) was disappointing. Other kitchen tools were not what I would expect in quality either. The log burner in winter is a must and lovely but with the confines space every time you opened the door to place a log in you did have to vent the carriage a bit afterwards because of fumes. However, that being said we had a nice week in a lovely area with amazing views. Comfy bed, good hot water supply.

We had an amazing week long stay in The Beudy. Our children (16 and 6) enjoyed sleeping in the quirky loft space and the double bedroom was very comfortable for us. The property was lovely and cosy on those drizzly days and the garden space out the back had some lovely stretching views. The hosts were super friendly and gave great advice on the local area and ideas of places to go. Location wise, you're within 30 - 60 mins of some great attractions and days out. We had a fun filled week. The immediate local area is also beautiful and there are plenty of stunning walking opportunities very close by. Linda was very generous with her time and our young daughter enjoyed seeing the animals every day - it really made her holiday tuly special. Would love to come back here again!

Beudy is a lovely converted cowshed with everything needed for a relaxing holiday: a well equipped kitchen, open lounge space, comfortable bed and hot electric shower. the location is fabulous, overlooking the valley but sheltered by the hillside so very pleasant to sit out with an evening drink (well it was for us, I guess being Wales it might rain sometimes). And the neighbours - goats (whose number increased by 2 while we were there, very cute), Spider the cat and of course Linda and Ian who are lovely hosts. There are good walks around (although not all footpaths are in in tip top condition ...), and we recommend hiring electric bikes in Abergorlech and exploring the forest tracks and back roads. We thoroughly recommend Beudy for a quiet holiday.
