  Located on a working cattle farm - lots of lovely wildlife, sheep, cows, horses and birds to see and hear. So peaceful and idyllic for a restful holiday. Located about 1.5 miles from the small village of Longhorsely which has a pub and small shop. The accommodation was immaculate and the décor was of a very high standard - very stylish and great attention to detail. It was light and spacious and very comfortable. There were three bedrooms all with beautiful ensuites (one was a twin). One downstairs cloakroom. Towels and tea towels provided. There was also fresh milk and water in the fridge for us on arrival. The kitchen also had foil, kitchen roll, washing up liquid and cleaning cloth, tea, coffee, biscuits and crisps. All bathrooms had luxury liquid soap. There was a boot room for coats and shoes with a washing machine, heated clothes rail, iron and ironing board. The bifold doors opened onto a small outdoor garden which was a perfect place to sit outside. We used the gas BBQ. At the front there is ample parking for 3 -4 cars. The owners live adjacent to the property and were so welcoming and friendly. They left us to ourselves but we knew they were there if we needed anything. We had a lovely week's stay and will definitely return. I was reluctant to leave a review as we thought it was so wonderful we want to keep it a secret so it is not always fully booked!! The owners also have other properties on the coast we may also try.

  We liked the tasteful design and high specification of Tower House. We are great fans of a Super Kingsize bed so tend to ignore those that don’t have them. Obviously to convey that information, the website requires plenty of good photos and a detailed description of what is on offer and that is what yours achieved. The information provided at the house was first class: full, informative and well-presented.  The welcome basket covered all bases. Good variety of products. After an eight hour drive the wine and beer were a nice touch! Bread and butter is a must, and also milk. Chocolate and biscuits went the extra mile. Sometimes you can get a welcome basket where the cheapest of everything has been provided: this was the opposite.  We really liked the high specification of the decor, fixture and fittings. White company towels and toiletries; Denby kitchen ware. Comfortable beds. Good quality bathroom fittings.  We have been visiting high spec cottages in the UK for at least ten years and this was the BEST YET.  Oh and this was the first time we have received a follow-up call after we arrived to ensure all was okay: that was a nice touch!

  Lovely town, property genuinely well positioned and presented very well.

  Town centre position comes with price of some noise (bridge pathway, local attraction, pub, takeaway, cafe, rear of businesses and restaurants all within 1 minute walk), but we didn't find this intrusive. Town on level ground except short decline up to station. The 'garden' is literally all you see on page 25, no bigger than many flat balconies. Its overlooked by neighbours so lacks privacy, but as we were out a lot enjoying the area and beyond it didn't really trouble us. Neighbours were friendly. Walk-in shower very modern, high powered. Missed a 2nd wc, though only bathroom has seoerate bath & shower. The twin room beds were adequote for children, but as smaller than expected they may not suit an adult. Lounge very comfortable, spacious, large hi-tech smart TV. Overall accomodation is equipped well, spacious, bright and welcoming. Highly recommend Morpeth as a base and lovely attractive, well equipped beautiful town. Hire a boat to row from riverbank in town recommended. 'The Office' pub opposite property is recommended - an easy stagger home!

  Superbly situated next to Morpeth Chantry.

  Very comfortable beds and sofas. Only two main minuses: 1. No food preparation tools apart from a measuring jug that wasn’t suitable for use in a microwave. I had to buy £50 worth of very basic equipment: colander ( which I left), hand whisk, scissors, pasta / bacon tongs, cheese grater etc, mixing spoon etc. as you can see, very basic. 2. The door seal and dispenser drawer of the washing machine were rife with mould. I managed to clean them enough so I was happy to use it but it took a lot of elbow grease. We loved the ‘secret room’ with the dollhouse! It’s obvious the house is very old and has been altered a great deal. We would have loved some information on the history of the house and how it was changed from its original. For instance, who carved their initials on the overmantel? We’d definitely stay there again but I’d raid my kitchen drawers first!

  We loved staying at Harebell House and despite the very mixed weather, we managed lots of walks on the beautiful nearby beaches at Beadnell, Low Newton & Bamburgh. We had a calm boat trip to the Farne Islands and saw puffins, seals, and dolphins on the trip back to the Seahouses! We met up with friends at Alnwick Gardens for the day and loved exploring Barter Books afterwards. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Whittling House in Alnmouth on Easter Sunday and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen at the cottage which had everything we needed and was so clean. It is such a gorgeous property and is very well located for exploring Northumberland. We would love to return when the weather improves! Thank you for the lovely welcome hamper and tulips on arrival. One of the best we have had when staying in a holiday cottage.
