"S19654 is a very well appointed cottage with all the facilities you could possibly want. The setting is peaceful with lovely views across fields and set far back from the road. It is lovely to have sheep in front in an adjacent field and chicken and ducks wandering around the main house. The owners leave an impressive welcome pack of local bacon, eggs, local butter, bread, fruit juice, wine and cake. And are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for an excellent holiday."

"We had a very comfortable week at S19654. The bungalow was really well equipped and we were provided with a lovely welcome pack. It was nice to sit in the conservatory after a day out sightseeing."
J – 21 Sep 2018
"This is an outstanding property. It is so well equipped with everything you could need and more. It is in a beautiful, peaceful location. There is so much to see and do within a close vicinity of the property. Friendly and helpful owners. Just perfect!"
Klaus – 14 Sep 2018
"Very nice and comfortable cottage."
Emma – 10 Aug 2018
"Beautiful, clean, well equipped cottage with stunning views. Set in quiet countryside with just the geese, ducks, chickens, deer and buzzards for company. We had a lovely welcome from Lynn who was there to greet us and show us around the property. She also provided a very comprehensive welcome pack! The cottage is situated about half an hour from beautiful sandy beaches and within walking distance of two fantastic pubs. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We hope to return soon."

"A lovely cottage, very comfortable and spacious. The conservatory and decking are perfect for relaxing and looking at the views, and watching the chickens, ducks and geese! No problem at all with access to the property for anyone with mobility problems. As explained by the owner immediately on arrival, we were able to drive up the track a little bit and then walk across the grass to enter through the front door. Once inside it is all on one level and very easy to get around.A very nice welcome pack which was much appreciated, and Lynne was always very helpful and friendly. Would definitely love to go back!"

"We have stayed at quite a few self catering properties in the UK and we feel that S19654 has been the best. Everything you could want , for your holiday ,is provided . All the equipment for cooking is of a high standard. The bungalow is spacious and clean and we felt we could live there permanently. The view is stunning ,looking over fields and treeline in the distance. If you are reading on the sun deck there is a distant hum from the traffic on the A31 but it is not obtrusive and you soon hardly notice it. To our surprise the owner left us a welcome pack of goodies ,the like of which we had never previously experienced. It was a really thoughtful gesture and we certainly appreciated it. There are chickens, ducks, geese and cats roaming around the garden and they were a welcome source of entertainment and a joy to watch. We had a wonderful week at S19654 and really wished we could have stayed longer."
Chris – 4 May 2018
"A great start to the holiday we were greeted at the door by Lynn the owner, she showed us around, and left us with a generous gift package. The drive which is a farm track ( drive in 1st gear slowly) leads from a main road to a gorgeous bungalow, with views across the fields. We had a comfy stay, it had everything we needed and Lynn was happy to help if needed. The cottage was large with plenty of rooms to spread out in. There were plenty of lighting options in the lounge so we were both happy. There are plenty of leaflets for ideas on places to go and close enough to a main road to go to do some sight seeing and of course fossil hunting on the Jurassic coast."
Barbara – 6 Apr 2018
"Nice spacious property - with the amenities all on one level. However, the slope and steps up to the door are NOT suitable for anyone with mobility problems, or small children. This access difficulty spoilt the entire holiday."
Claire – 23 Mar 2018
"Well-equipped, homely, very spacious bungalow. Quiet rural setting with lovely views and friendly owners. Accessed via a lane with a lot of pot holes which luckily our car was high enough to clear although the lane around the fields was not a problem. Had snow for 2 days when we were there but still managed to get out and about - the owners kept us supplied with logs for the log burner. Left the property early because the boiler was not working properly so we had no hot water for 4 days. Owners offered use of their facilities but they have a lot of cats and I am allergic to cats so this was not a temporary option. Apart from this one blip the property was better that the photos - there is also a large conservatory and decking when the weather permits. If the conservatory was heated this would make a lovely second sitting room as it has amazing views."
Nigel – 29 Sep 2017
"The owner of cottage gave us a welcoming start and it was an attractive home, but the lighting in the kitchen was rather dim, otherwise it was fine."
Helen – 8 Sep 2017
"Very enjoyable stay. The property had everything we needed. The only slight concern was the very potholed long drive to the property. The high grass verges in the centre of it could do with being flattenef out. Each time I drove over it I thought it my damage the underneath of my car."

"A beautiful bungalow in a quiet location with very helpful owners close by. Very well equipped and clean."

"Lovely property. No complaints whatsoever."

"Very nice bungalow situated on a knoll above fields leading to the A31. Very comfortable and spacious property, including a nice conservatory and a big deck. Good selection of DVDs and a very generous welcome pack of groceries. Nice woodburner and a good supply of logs to go with it.Super double glazing means no road noise inside, but the traffic on the busy A31 is easily heard if outside. Also, the drive to the cottage is two fields length of gravel drive; bumpy but perfectly safe in an ordinary car as long as you go slowly."

"We had a wonderful week, helped by really good weather, and S19654 was a real home from home. The owners went to a lot of trouble to make it comfortable and welcoming and we would definitely stay there again if visiting that area of Dorset."
Carol – 17 Mar 2017
"We enjoyed our stay at S19654.We were made to feel very welcome by the lady owner. There was the most amazing grocery pack, the frig seemed to be full when we arrived. This was most appreciated. The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The approach track to S19654 was rather bumpy and could do with some improvement,we learned how to avoid the worst pot holes during our stay.We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory or on the raised decking to admire the lovely view.A delightful property in a beautiful part of the country."
Chris – 17 Feb 2017
"The owners are very welcoming and the cottage is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped and we greatly enjoyed our stay."
"My wife and myself are inveterate users of holiday cottages for breaks of more than one week, several times per year; S19654 is certainly the best accommodation we have found anywhere in the UK. An absolute gem!"
"Lovely accommodation with very warm welcome. Loved to see the animals running around, it was so quiet."
"The best cottage we have ever stayed in. What a welcome pack, everything you needed to keep you going after arrival. Just like staying in someone's home as the quality of the furnishings was excellent. Lynn was very helpful with advice on places to visit. Would certainly like to return."
"This cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the Dorset coast and the New Forest. The welcome from the owner was second to none and the welcome pack included everything one might need - some delicious honey and the chocolates and wine a lovely surprise! The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. The only little niggle was there was not very good natural light and you needed the lights on in the day. This was, of course, except in the conservatory and it was in this light, airy, comfortable room we spent most of our time."
"Fantastic cottage with a fantastic welcome from great hosts. Had a lovely holiday in a great location."
"S19654 turned out to be a real gem. The hosts had thought of everything from stocking the fridge to a welcoming bottle of wine. The kitchen was extremely well catered for from toaster to dishwasher. The living room was really relaxing and comfortable after a day of sightseeing and shopping. Watching through the kitchen window, the deer in the meadow and with a buzzard circling upon high in the evening sky was a bonus, and added a real feeling of rural living, along with the ducks and geese patrolling back and forth in and out of the meadow. Would I go again? Given the chance I would happily live there. Our warm friendly hosts were very down to earth good honest people who were easy to talk to, and made us feel like we were old friends and not part of their business, as I'm sure would be true if we returned for a second helping."
"great time"
"We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at S19654; the thoughtful welcome pack provided by the owners was the best we've ever experienced in some 20 years of holiday cottage renting. Spacious and well equipped, it's well located for many of Dorset's attractions and the Jurassic coast. It was great to return after a hard day's touring, sit out on the patio with a glass of wine and watch the owner's wildlife going about their routine. We would advise making a prior booking to eat at the local Worlds End pub to ensure a table, and be prepared for a slow bumpy ride driving along the long access track every day.Mike & Belinda - June 2016"

"S19654 was a wonderfull relaxing retreat from the daily hustle and bustle. The owners lynn and Tony were excellent, like meeting old friends.A beautifull reception on arrival,Fridge had a selection food to feed us for the rest of that day and breakfast (fresh eggs, bacon, butter,Selection of Jams, milk,Bread) in case travellers had a long tireing journey and didn't need to shop until the following day.Everything for a relaxing holiday was includedLounge TV took a bit of getting used to as did the shower, but once conquered the shower was excellent. The addition of Chickens,Ducks,Geese Cats and a pair of Pheasants added to the amusement as these all wandered around outside the cottage. The track leading up to the cottage has to be negotiated gently.Overall one of the best cottages we have rented."
"Comfortable and very well equipped. All on one level including access to a decking area so good for limited mobility guests but access from the parking area involves a steep path and steps."
"Very comfortable cottage, spacious and quiet, well-equipped. Enormous wellcome-pack. S19654 can be clearly recommended."
"Lynn was a terrific host, super location for nearby places to visit in the area and the bungalow is superbly equipped with lovely quiet views. Would not hesitate to re-visit and recommend very highly. Loved it!!Karen, Paul and Vickie."
"Really great house, has everything you could ever need and is very accommodating, there was even toys for the kids to play with! Would go back in a heartbeat and the owners were lovely!"
"Lovely cottage Was not happy that the owners controlled the heatingThis did cause us a bit of a problem as we were told when I asked for heating to be left on longerThat we have an open fire to keep warm byYes we did and yes it was lovely but this did not heat the bathroom or the bedrooms"
"The best cottage I have ever rented. A lovely friendly welcome from the owner, with the best welcome pack you could ask for. There is nothing you could want for in this cottage, the owners have thought of everything and more. A lovely quiet location with lots of nature to watch. This really is a home away from home."
"We really enjoyed our stay in S19654, from the warm welcome we received from the owner to the high standard of the cottage itself. The cottage has lovely views over the countryside and is an ideal location for exploring the local area. It is well equipped and very comfortable. We will certainly consider staying there again and would highly recommend it to others."
"excellent in every way, lovely, friendly owner."
"Our 2nd time of staying.Everything A1.What more can we say."
"Excellent accomodation and location with friendly buy non intrusive hosts.Access track is a bit bumpy but nothing our Ford Fiesta could not cope with even in the wettest of December !"
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at S19654. Beautiful furnishings and extremely well equipped. The Welcome Pack was the best we have ever had. We would definitely come back again, the only thing we could fault really was the track up to the property, no good if you drive a low vehicle, too many potholes, but that wasn't the owners fault as not their land. A washer/dryer would be better too in the winter months, couldn't hang washing out as just stayed damp. Saying this though the property is really good value for money and makes you feel like your in 'someone's home' so you could relax."
"The bungalow is really excellent with all the facilities you could wish. It is situated on high ground with a lovely outlook and it is very peaceful. There were just two points to mention. Firstly the shower head is set very high and not adjustable so my wife who is short could not reach it. Secondly, the track up from the main road is very bumpy and has to be negotiated rather carefully. A 4 x 4 would be more appropriate."
"From the moment we arrived lynn was very welcoming and the bungalow was perfect. Everything we needed and is in a good area for all the places we wanted to go to. We would definitely recommend it to our friends."
"We absolutely loved "S19654" a beautiful, comfortable cottage in a prime location for exploring the whole of Dorset. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay, and more. The welcome gift was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Lynn was friendly and welcoming, and we felt very 'at home'. We had 3 children with us and whilst the cottage is not child friendly as such (lots of lovely glass ornaments) they never got bored as there were lots of toys, DVD's and board games to enjoy. A wonderful break away from the concrete jungle."
"The cottage was exactly where we needed to be near and a lovely location. Owners were very friendly and helpful but left us to just enjoy the cottage. Will definitely recommend it and hope to use it again as i have family just down the road."
"Beautiful place in a beautiful place! Spent lots of time in the conservatory looking out over the fields. It had everything you could want and we spent the week trying to think of something that was missing - to no avail! Lovely 'landlady' who was very friendly and helpful and the welcome pack was outstanding"
"Friendly owners on site. Lovely welcome pack provided. Details didn't describe the access road, we were fine as it was dry, would not have liked to tackle it in the wet."
"We had a beautiful week at S19654, owners so friendly with lovely little touches added to make our stay not only relaxing but memorable. Cottage situated very close to local amenities and popular tourist attractions. Our toddler also loved the chickens and ducks wondering around. We look forward to our next holiday here."
"Excellent cottage and hosts, in a great location provided just what we were after peace and quiet in a rural location. Cottage lived up to expectation and then some, hosts Lynn and family couldn't be more helpful and friendly, thanks for a great week."
