Situated on a quiet residential street, offering private parking for 4 cars on the driveway and sea views from many of the front facing rooms, light and airy Rose Fitt House is the perfect base for families or friends alike, looking for spacious accommodation where they can holiday together. Built in the late 1800s by Messrs Rose and Fitt, and commencing life as a family home, the property has enjoyed several incarnations over the years, having been a billet house, a boarding house, and latterly, a very popular B&B. Rose Fitt House benefits from several en-suite bedrooms and a state of the art hot water system, which means that, should you wish to, everyone can shower at once and still enjoy hot water, perfect for washing away the sand after a day on glorious Hunstanton beach. Nicknamed ’Sunny Hunny’ by the locals, Hunstanton offers wide sandy shores that really do seem to go on for ever, traditional seaside amusements, a Sea Life Centre and lots of shops, restaurants and bars. If you can tear yourself away from all that the town has to offer, why not visit the Hanseatic town of Kings Lynn, which was one of England’s most important ports from as early as the 12th century, and offers an amazing array of historic buildings and attractions in its old quarter. For more coastal delights, head to Wells-next-the-Sea with its picturesque quay, narrow gauge railway and charming mix of artisan shops and cafes. There are many National Trust properties and stately homes to visit too, including Houghton Hall, Holkham Hall, a fine mansion close to Holkham Beach where Shakespeare In Love was filmed, and Sandringham Estate, which is open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence. Keen walkers and birdwatchers will not be disappointed as there are excellent opportunities for both within the National Trust marshes and along coastal pathways, and Rose Fitt House is ideally located between Titchwell and Snettisham rspb bird reserves, with lagoons providing a home to nesting birds such as marsh harriers, bitterns and avocets. Beach 250 yards. Shop and restaurant 250 yards, pub 500 yards.
