"Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Took a bit of finding at first but once we had found it it was all fine. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. It felt homely as soon as we walked in and we were soon comfortable and settled. Our 3 year old loved exploring the house and garden which is steep in places but that is mentioned in the description and we just kept a closer eye on her at the back of the property. We had some fantastic sunsets and sunrises from the property . Great weather and Dolphins spotted from the boat trips. Shop in Gairloch is very well stocked and open until late every day including Sunday so you never go short. Badracho Inn still as good as ever. The road down to Port Henderson at first seems a very long one even when we knew this but after a few days you quickly get used to the bends and it started to feel much quicker. All in all a great holiday in a lovely house in a fantastic location with stunning views!"

"Well equipped house in great location, although somewhat obstructed sea view. Could do with better lighting (to read) in sitting room."

"Lovely location, great views all round and cllose to some great beaches and good hiking routes. The house was very clean and comfortable with everything you need for an enjoyable stay"
"We were there for two weeks. The house is very nice and located in a beautiful place. The view of the atlantic is great, unfortunately there is no direct access to the sea. The house is modern furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We found the house in a very clean condition. So clean we have a vacation home so far not experienced. The environment is very lonely and quiet. Ideal for relaxing from stressful everyday life. There are two reasonable supermarkets in gairloch, a few kilometers away. The local butcher in Gairloch is great. In Badachro there is a great pub where you can eat excellent. We would always stay there again."
"Lovely well presented holiday cottage in nice location. Only downside was being near the end of a single track road meant a five mile drive each way to get back to the main road to Gairloch but to be fair, that was made clear in the description. All in all a nice cottage. Owners need to make sure there are dishwasher tablets available though given it is some distance to the nearest supermarket!"
"We had a lovely time. The weather was cool and blowy, but good for walking; the house was extremely well-equipped and comfortable; the views to the loch and surrounding hills were stunning; the whale-sighting trip from Gairloch was exhilerating; the neighbours - and their amazing Oxford spot (may have got that wrong) pigs were fabulous. The pigs - especially Roxy - especially enjoy apples ."

"Very comfortable cottage but amenities distant if that is important."
"Very cosy house for holidays, cleanliness perfect, central heating providing a pleasant room temperature, we shall return"
"Beautiful cottage. Lovely setting. Well furnished. Quiet but not remote."
"If you're looking for somewhere quiet, relaxing and a perfect location for exploring this lovely part of Scotland then this is the perfect cottage. The cottage is well appointed and on opening the front door we were delighted at our choice. The local museum at Gairloch is a fascinating place to visit. If you look at the information for Port Henderson you can discover the history and background for Croft no 5 which is now Tigh A Cnoc."
"This is a very well furnished and equipped and wonderfully clean and relaxing cottage.I have not scored it as 10 because although the description of 500yrds from the sea shore is correct it cannot be accessed as it is on private land. This was not what we had expected and we could only watch the wonderful wildlife through lenses and had to travel by car to the nearest beach."
"Perfectly equipped and very nicely decorated. Makes you feel at home right away. The only thing missing is a sauna ... :-)"
"The cottage is in a beautiful location by the water & it is close to some lovely beaches. Local amenities are easy to get as well by car. There is also ample walking trails locally as well as areas of natural beauty. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage & would definately return."
"Lovely, well equipped cottage.Beautiful location, especially in Autumn."

"Excellent overall experience for the family."
"Excellent cottage in a good location for exploring the Gairloch and Torridon area. The accommodation and fittings were perfect for our needs on a walking and exploring holiday. A highlight was the fantastic sunset over the sea to Skye and the Outer Hebrides from the coast nearby. Interesting walks to be had in the vicinity of the cottage (Redpoint, Badachro), good food and drink at the Badachro Inn which is only a couple of miles away. Further afield, shortish car journeys to access the northern end of the Torridon Hills, Gairloch and Inverewe Gardens at Poolewe. The small museum at Gairloch is worth a visit - lots of detail on the development of lighthouse technology in the 19th C, geography and social history of the area. Also Mountain Coffee Shop and Bookshop at Gairloch for a lazy afternoon."
"Well equipped, very clean and tidy, with helpful instructions - thoughtfully set up.Good views of Loch Gairloch (just 50m from the shore, although no access unfortunately), and 20 minutes drive from Gairloch. Nearest pub/restaurant at Badachro is less than 10 minutes drive (35 minutes walk)."
"Lovely cottage in beautiful quiet location. Ideally positioned for good day trips round the Gairloch area. Cottage itself was well maintained an equipped."
"Absolute stunning property, you Don't want for anything, everything provided"

"Very quiet location, ideal for getting away from everything. Perfect for a couple or young family. Felt like we did a lot of driving on holiday as cottage is fairly remote. Cottage is well equipped and comfortable. July 2012."

"The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed. There was a problem with the TVs, but the caretakers sorted it out in no time. However, a simple ’how to’ guide would be useful. We’d have no hesitation in coming back here. April 2011."

"Lovely situation. Well equipped. Would have preferred double bed to have view of harbour rather than mountain. Could maybe do with a larger rug in living room and a few more lamps to make cosier? July 2010."

"Very well equipped and warm. Well furnished - quite simple and stylish. Great location near the sea. Sept 2009."
    Previous guest
"The location was very good, being well away from any road which carried any significant amount of traffic, and with great views. The cottage was spacious and well equipped. It was useful, for example, to have two bathrooms (one with bath, both with shower) and two rooms with TVs so that my wife and I could watch different things (as we usually do at home!). Sept 2009."
