What our customers say about their holidays

This accommodation is great.
It was in a perfect place for us to visit relatives who live nearby. It looks lovely and the sheep nearby kept us entertained. It was quiet and private and not far from Abersoch village although I doubt that you would want to walk into the village to eat at night. Parking space was excellent. We are a couple so had plenty of space and equipment. We have stayed here before and would certainly stay again. A few minor things need to be improved we think. The water from the hot taps is VERY hot. Dangerous if children are staying. A warning is needed. The quilt was very hot too for the time of the year. We had to borrow a lighter one. The bed was very comfortable although not much space to get out if a toilet visit is needed during the night. Some pans and crockery were not clean. We were not sure when the accommodation was last occupied but it was a little off putting. Disappointing as there was a dish washer. There was no dishwasher salt or rinse aid. I was not inclined to buy any as I have plenty at home and wanted to use the dishwasher only 3 times in one week. We dined out in a few wonderful restaurants! We know that the internet had been newly installed but didnât manage to get it to work at all. We werenât that bothered but others might be.

A great well equipped modern and spacious house with 4 large comfortable double rooms a modern stylish bathroom and downstairs shower room, Modern spacious kitchen with large American fridge freezer.
Utility room with. Washer dryer and microwave. Large seperate dining room and lounge. Carris the property manager is very friendly and helpful and is on the end of a phone, lives locally and responds quickly to any requests The house is five minutes walk from the centre of Pwhelli and Lidl Asda and an amazing Spar. There is a large safe enclosed garden to the front with a swing ideal for young children. The home is an ideal base for exploring the Lyn Peninsular with lots of great beaches and attractions within 30 min drive. Pwllheli has 2 safe Sandy beaches, short drive to Abersoch and Criccieth and 25 mins to Porthmadog and Welsh Highland Railway which is great for young kids. The house is on a main road to the front which is busy. The windows in the house block out the road noise but if you are a light sleeper it might be problematic in hot weather if you need to sleep with windows open. The Whitehall in town serves great food, the Jewel in the Crown is a good Indian and Allporrs is a nice Fish and chip shop, there is a great fishmongers next to the Spar which also has live lobster and dry aged steak in a special fridge. The house is very airy and remains cool in hot weather. We had a great stay would definitely return.

Loved the house.
It was very well equipped and the downstairs kitchen and living areas were excellent. The fabulous collection of Duplo was particularly enjoyed by our grandson. A collection of adult games such as Scrabble, trivial pursuit and local guide books would be an asset to the house. The bathrooms were excellent apart from the downstairs toilet seat which slipped around when sat on and has been previously mentioned in a review as needing fixing. The showers were very good hot and powerful. The bedrooms were all a good size. The bed in the main room was comfortable. One bed has a standalone frame surround which has missing slats at the bed head end and rocks around noisily and alarmingly. Another bed has a fixed metal bed head which creaks with every turn. However our main issue was the very thin curtains which blocked very little light from the moon or sun. Also the road noise. If there had been thick curtains or blinds we would have rated the accommodation higher. Luckily we had taken a blackout blind for the toddler room not so lucky for the adults. Outside space is as described. House is very well placed for access to beaches and town.

When we arrived at the house there was no key for us but within half an hour this was sorted.
When we entered it was clear that parts of the house were not totally clean. The bathrooms appeared to be clean enough. The one bed did not have a mattress protector which is unforgivable. We swept the floor downstairs and found some beads, coco pops and an empty crisp packet behind one of the settees. The dishwasher didnât work until the 5th day. In both bathrooms the extractor fans did not appear to be working therefore every surface in the dark and dingy downstairs shower room became very wet after someone had showered. Also there is a sign in the downstairs shower room saying âPlease ensure bath mat is at the entrance of the shower cubicle to avoid leaks for the flat belowâ... The bedrooms are spacious and most of the beds comfortable. The dining table set up is not ideal as it is a low table with settees, not too easy for my elderly parents! The whole house needs a coat of paint and some tlc. The outside area is a nice space but needs weeding and some care taken with the plants in pots. The position of the house and the views are stunning with the beach right opposite. The cul de sac is quiet with hardly any traffic.

We had no significant issues.
The cottage is a nice spacious place with most things provided that you would want. There are a few minor irritations: The side door (blue key), the lock is very worn and awkward to operate. Although there are plenty of TV's we struggled to find standard terrestrial channels. This was not an issue for me personally but we had some older people in our party who wanted to watch "normal" TV, but this was difficult to achieve. The provision of Netflix was great and I am sure appreciated by most. There is no toilet roll holder in the downstairs bathroom, which again no problem for us, but again difficult for less able bodied people. Last minor point is that I could not understand why the upstairs bathroom has such a small shower. I am a big chap and can barley move in such a small shower. I had to use the downstairs shower which was obviously a lot bigger. These are just a few thoughts for feedback, not big issues or anything I would complain about.
