  The property was very clean and well equipped with all basic Essentials - cleaning products ,bin bags, tin foil, t.

  Bags, hand wash, T.roll, washing up liquid , salt n pepper, all appreciated when holidaying via public transport. The lounge seating was lovely n comfortable with large tv screen for cosy nights in. Shower good, we couldn’t turn temperature up much ,it appeared set, but it was warm enough for us . Bedroom was a good size with a comfy bed and lovely clean fresh white bedding. The welcome pack was a very nice touch. Having a back exit was ideal as steps down to basement a bit steep especially with suitcases. The guest book reflects on people’s lovely stays at NBRetreat which shows the thought and care the owner has put in to the apartment to ensure guests have a lovely holiday Overall we enjoyed our stay, would definitely book again and hopefully come with a new little dog next time.   The flat was very fantastic it has a lovely little yard nice big bedroom and the bed was very comfortable both bedroom and living room had a big tv with Amazon Netflix and Freeview the kitchen had everything you need and there were full jars of coffee tea and sugar and coffee pods for machine the welcome pack was fantastic we take our dog and she was pampered too dog bed bowls and treats you get a parking card so make sure you park on road not at the back were it’s say residents only has we were told by one resident that we were no allowed just two doors down is the cafe they do lovely food not far from beach 5 minutes walk only there for 3 nights but fantastic holiday and well worth the money well done Ben you made my anniversary the best

  On arrival through the front door I had some reservations due to the hall and the stairs being very dark.

  However, when we entered the appartment it was lovely. Furnished to a high standard, comfortable and plenty of room. The welcome pack was good. The back door was a blessing and we used it all the time. Parking excellent as it is early season but fear in the height of the summer it wouldn't be. A few extra mugs and other crockery would be good as only 3 mugs left but I did buy another white mug and left it there. I know it is for two adults but it would mean we wouldn't have to wash up as much and would use the dishwasher like we do at home. Situated in an area that's close to the North Bay and only 15mins into town. We have been coming to Scarborough since 1985 and will definately be coming back to North Bay Retreat.

  We’ve just returned from a lovely stay at Cow Byre cottage.

  Great location, really handy for the coast and some lovely walks. The cottage itself was spotless, really well equipped and Dan was super friendly and very helpful. The welcome pack was very generous and we enjoyed some fruit for breakfast every day. The communal paddock was so useful to let our spaniel enjoy a walk round in the morning, and of course a late night wee! Although it’s very securely gated, Dan has even included a long line attached to the fence to keep any wanderers safe! We enjoyed 2 pleasant evenings in the Peacock pub just round the corner too, where we and our pup were made very welcome by the lovely locals.

  Lovely property in a great location and very well equipped.

  Nice touch with the welcome pack. Although the visit was a disaster for us, as my Wife had a very nasty fall on the first morning we were there and spent the first day, all day in A&E at Scarborough Hospital. Unfortunately had to return home the following day as my Wife had really bad injuries to her face and was in a lot of Pain. Spoke to Ben the owner to let him know we were leaving early and kindly advised it may well be prudent to provide emergency numbers in the information guide and to also provide a First Aid Kit. We were very lucky we took ours with us. All in all, despite all this we would love to re-visit at some point.
