What our customers say about their holidays

1. Whilst there was a dishwasher itâs purpose was largely redundant given the limited amount of crockery and cutlery.
For example, there were only two tea mugs. We would have preferred to spend less time washing up but it was not possible to fill the dishwasher. 2. The outside lighting was very poor. We arrived in the dark and could barely see the outside steps. It is a potential accident waiting to happen. 3. It was difficult to locate the property in the dark as there was no sign outside to identify it. 4. It would have been useful if plug adapters had been provided. 5. The information pack in the apartment is out of date. For example, it recommends a restaurant which went out of business two years ago; there was no torch in the drawer. 6. Given that we paid five star prices we expected five star provisions. 7. The bed was very comfortable. 8. The apartment was located in a very quiet area which we enjoyed. 9. Alexa and the smart TVs were good. 10. The fridge freezer was good. 11. Good quality bed linen and towels were provided. Overall, we would recommend staying at the apartment. If the owner makes the suggested improvements it will be even better!

We felt that the name "Hideaway" was a bit of a misnomer.
What we were perhaps given to believe was that the property was completely on it's own, with no other people anywhere close by. In fact all was communal outside with some building works ongoing. Perhaps we expected too much. Otherwise everything was absolutely beautiful, the living space wonderfully done, absolutely everything we needed (except a butter knife........), the welcome pack generous and much needed after a long journey there. A lovely location. The local pub served some of the best food we had, and the local shop handy, but more than - 1 mile away, in a car. In all we, and our dog did enjoy our stay at the Hideaway despite being surrounded.... Oh, perhaps the house name should be outside, on the lane ~ difficult to find in the dark.

We chose the Hideaway for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect!
We were looking for something special and luxurious and we definitely got that. The owner, Tara, was lovely, very friendly and her relaxed manor made us feel very relaxed too. We were also provided with some very lovely extra touches which really completed the special feel of the holiday. We took our two young dogs which were also made to feel very welcome and were allowed free range of the garden, which they loved. The property was in the perfect location to discover different areas of Cornwall, perfect for our first time visit here. There were good local amenities within a short drive from the property and the local pub served delicious food. We would definitely recommend the Hideaway and look forward to visiting again.

When we arrived we were instantly taken by the surroundings.
We recognised the beautiful cottage from the road by its tall window, and as we drew onto the drive it was obvious that the pictures we had seen had done true justice to this property. But the real wow factor was when we opened the door and stepped in, my gosh, what a beautiful place. Words fail us, it is more beautiful than the pictures dictate. We were greeted with a lovely array of local goodies and a nice bottle of champagne. The owners of this property certainly put a lot of effort into ensuring you feel relaxed and comfortable, we would highly reccomend this place and will say thank you to Phil and Tara for providing such a wonderfully friendly welcome and holiday.

The properety was very well appointed and we were welcomed with a generous pack including champagne.
The fittings were high-end and clearly no expense had been spared. The owners have gone to considerable trouble to provide a very comfortable holiday experience and are to be congratulated. The issues that we had may well be more down to us than to the owners. We had difficulty finding 'Hideaway' and we were not provided with a telephone contact (the owners or Sykes) to get assistance. Could we suggest that this could be added to the information you provide upon final payment. We also had difficulty working out how to use the microwave and hob - perhaps an 'idiots guide' would help. To be fair to the owners all our issues were addressed immediately.
