  Hilltop cottage is well located to give uninterrupted views of the sea, especially from the small balcony at the front of the property. The back of the property however provides less appealing views of a disused quarry and dilapidated garages on overgrown waste ground. The property is well appointed with modern equipment but the heating system was difficult to operate especially to dry bath towels. We were surprised to see dust and discarded items such as peanuts, hairclips and an old lottery ticket in clear view under the living area furniture. The plinth on the island cupboards was hanging off. The front bedroom ceiling needs attention to remove peeling plaster . The front patio needs to be sorted out to make it more attractive especially planters that were covered in weeds and broken crockery. We expected better " presentation" especially after paying £1400 for staying here. We've already booked to go to Porthleven next July in the same area of town but not at Clifftop Cottage.

  We had a super time at Tigh-na-Mara, it’s a great cottage, a hop skip & jump from the beach and 5 minutes to the harbour square. For our four legged member, perfect enclosed patio (escape proof) & enclosed kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped, has the option of a bath or shower, very cosy and possibly the best holiday cottage bed for comfort we’ve stayed in. It was fabulous to hear the sea lying in bed. We relaxed very quickly and would love to return. Porthleven is a lovely quaint fishing port. One helpful point for future visitors is the parking, the space is not a problem but on exiting, there are often parked vehicles opposite. My husband managed to negotiate his L200 out but with care. This is not a complaint or to put people off, just the heads up. There’s also plenty to do in Porthleven that you don’t need to leave. Happy holidays if you choose here.

  The cottage was lovely, exactly as described, with everything you would need included. The views over the sea are fantastic, sadly no big storms while we were there, but the weather was good and meant we could open the French doors and enjoy the sunshine. The walk down to Porthleven was pretty and easily walkable with great cafes and would recommend the Habour Inn to eat out, very dog friendly. One downside, the pillows were uncomfortable, but a very small niggle in comparison to the really good standard of the property. Having a garage was useful although if you own a large 4x4 I doubt it would fit. The patio area outside was great for drying the dog after visiting the beach. Would definitely come back and stay again.

  Fabulous stay in this well equipped property. Views across to the sea are without question the best feature. We visited in February half term with 3 dry and occasionally sunny days for walking on the nearby coast path. We then had two days of stormy weather. Watching the sea change from the comfort of the property was amazing. It was warm when we needed it to be, and by opening the doors to the sound of the sea was a lovely way to start the day. We both agreed that we would revisit this property again in the future, which is unusual for us as regular visitors to Cornwall we tend to always stay somewhere different. Having a secure private car parking space was a bonus! All in all- highly recommended!

  Hi, We have been staying at Cliff Top Cottage this week and the cottage has been lovely, BUT, we unfortunately have issues with building work within 4 or 5m of the front door. This includes cement mixer, drilling, cutting breeze blocks and tiles, creating horrendous noise and dust, plus a large white builders van parked obstructing our view of the sea most of the day. We realise the building work is outside your control, however, from a guest point of view it makes a quiet and relaxing holiday, which we anticipated, impossible.
