  We had a lovely stay in Sandseekers Barn which is in a brilliant location very close to the coastal path to Bedruthan Steps and a pleasant (albeit steep) walk to the beach at Mawgan Porth. The area is stunning, we didn't want to leave and neither did the dog who enjoyed daily walks on the beach and coastal path. There's a great shop in Mawgan Porth, a couple of cafes and pub/ hotel which more than suited our needs. We didn't venture far the whole week which was just what we wanted although Newquay, Padstow and Wadebridge are not far at all. The barn is set over 3 floors and was really warm, comfortable and well equipped. Everything is modern and tastefully decorated; the beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable and showers fantastic and powerful. Having two seating areas is a real bonus for a multigenerational stay and good wi-fi was much appreciated! The garden was useful for the dog only and could do with a bit of brightening up if it were to be an area to sit outside in. A few personal touches like cushions, welcome pack and local information were missing but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much, we loved Sandseekers Barn.

  Lovely cottage and location with very spacious property.

  Well equipped kitchen and large bedrooms and sitting room with helpful folder on local attractions and facilities on site. As part of an old manor estate, there were some signs of aged plaster and decor that ought to be addressed over time. On the minus side the biggest issue was that in a cold March - it was not a warm propert. Whilst it did have central heating in all the rooms the radiator valves were preset and could not be changed so no independent control of the hearing. Unfortunately a few of the radiators including the main bedroom and lounge were in need of bleeding or degunging as the heat did not pass through them leaving the rooms cold. Whilst there was a lovely wood burning stove in the dining kitchen there was only one armchair in this room so this was the only independent source of heat. Also the free sat to or box in the lounge was not working so could not be used. Both unfortunately took away on the comfort and expectations score from what otherwise was a great cottage.

  The photos of the property give the impression that there is a bathroom on the first floor next to the two twin bedrooms. In fact you have to go downstairs and through the lounge to the hall by the front door. Not much fun in the middle of the night. The lounge and dining rooms are small and crammed particularly for six people. The hallway has a number of different levels which presents a trip hazard especially at night. The entrance and driveway is tight and narrow and you have to reverse out as you can’t turn your car around. Probably best to visit in the summer months as the garden and outside seating areas are good.

  Had a lovely Christmas stay at the Mount, 2 couples and 1 dog. Found the property very well-equipped with everything we could possibly have needed and clean upon arrival. It was freshly painted, it’s a lovely cosy cottage and an absolutely perfect location (proximity to Padstow, coastal path, Trevone and Harbour Cove beaches and farm shop a plus!). If you have a large dog the front garden is fully secure, the side garden backs onto a field that large dogs could get into so something to be aware of. Would book again.

  Lovely property with a superb kitchen/diner and log burner.

  Very spacious bedrooms all tastefully decorated. No private garden but acres of estate from your doorstep to explore and enjoy. Everyone we met was very helpful and friendly. We loved waking up to all the birds tweeting, seeing the pheasants strutting around and the gorgeous and very inquisitive Guinea fowl making their presence known! Beautiful and peaceful location within easy drive to all the key sites of local interest. Would thoroughly recommend.
