  Impressed? Most definitely.

  Words escape me. From the moment we viewed the Donkey Shed we ( a family of six ), knew we had to book it. The property is exactly as shown in the photos and is a real credit to the owners Max and Jackie. Perfectly located for exploring the coast, tourist attractions and much more. Have never seen such a spotlessly clean and well presented property. So well equipped, seclude, quiet and very relaxing, it is out of this world. As grandparents we travelled down with our family of four and were absolutely gobsmacked with the property on arrival. Our family have never stayed in a quality holiday let like this and they loved it. Due to some medical issues my wife and I had to return home mid week but left the family behind to enjoy the sunny weather and do lots of exploring. They enjoyed every day. Sadly we did not get to meet Max and Jackie but our family did and have said what a lovely couple they are. Although we did not meet face to face, the communication with Max and Jackie was the best we have ever had. Even since we arrived home they have contacted us with concern about my wife’s health, 10 out of 10 for that and many thanks. Overall a perfect holiday accommodation and worth every penny.   We were two couples and a dog staying for a week at the beginning of June 2024.

  The Old Post Office was immaculate; a wonderful place to stay for the week and the property has been exceedingly well thought out for the convenience of a short stay. Loads of thoughtful touches around the house which were really impressive. Also, it’s obvious that the owners are dog owners and loads of small dog friendly touches as well. We had a minor niggle early in the stay, but I must say that the owners, Kerry and Emma, were responsive, attentive and resolved the issue promptly. It’s clear to us that Kerry and Emma are rightly proud of their property and the experience they provide, and serious about making sure their guests have a wonderful time. We did have a wonderful time and can highly recommend. Thank you Kerry, Emma and Sykes Cottages. In the words of the renowned poet Arnie….. I’ll be back!

  8 of us - 4 couples - (good friends) - from different parts of the country - met at The Old Post Office, and spent 4 happy days there, and all the previous reviews, without exception, have said it all.

  IT IS FABULOUS; we all loved it. The interior design, the furniture, the furnishings, the kitchen, the equipment (loads of it!) the beds, the showers……everything is of good quality, and of a high standard. Emma and Kerry have thought of everything. Wonderful attention to detail, and lovely touches, that make it a very comfortable house and a joy to stay in. We had wet and cold weather, but the house is warm and cosy and a pleasure to come back home to. Thank you E and K, we all had an absolutely brilliant time and a lot of fun. We will all be recommending you to everyone we know. Elaine and Kevin and the gang. Sykes Company stated there were no hairdryers….not true…E&K had placed one in every bedroom

  Wonderful stay at Lower Farm - three lovely sized reception rooms downstairs in addition to the gorgeous kitchen gave us plenty of space to spread out whilst at the same time being lovely and cosy too with two roaring fireplaces. We were lucky enough to have some sunshine so we could enjoy the large walled garden which was sheltered so we could relish the springtime sun. Went on some idyllic country walks to the local pub and surrounding village of Nether Compton and even managed a day to the beach which was only 40mins away. What a special place to relax and spend time with the family - best night's sleep in a long time. Thank you Lower Farm - we will be back!

  Fantastic place. Real character exuded from the different rooms. Nice contrast between the "living rooms" with the cosy snug and more open plan airy table tennis and bar lounge. Lovely hot shower, comfy beds, excelkent facilities. Pub a nice easy walk. Great setting, with lovely rural, expanse of countryside. Very relaxing, chilled out stay where our group could just "get away," immerse in the countryside and carefree enjoy each others company. Aga took a little getting to grips with but "don't they always." But cooked most meals on it, aside from a BBQ.
