What our customers say about their holidays

We had the most wonderful and relaxing week at Hope Hall Barn, Anna the owner was welcoming, with a straight forward check in and provided lots of local information, maps and suggestions for walks directly from the property.
The secure and enclosed garden was wonderful for our dog, being able to open the door for him, knowing he was safe at all times was such a treat The barn was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, including plenty of logs for the log burner and a delicious home made lemon drizzle cake, thank you Anna The property is very quiet and set remotely at the top of a long drive, the views of the surrounding countryside are amazing, even though it was a bit wet and windy we spent time sitting outside with a cuppa soaking up the tranquility. There is a local pub - The Stables which was a 10 minute walk from the property which is very cosy with an open fire and a varied menu, we would recommend the home made pies This was our first visit to Shropshire, Im sure without doubt we will return in the future

Lovely place to stay and local for family we were biding .
. 5* finish apart from sofa .. we could tell a lot of thought and no expense spared when holiday let was originally decorated / renovated which is why we felt the sofa let it down .. the springs felt like they had gone making it very uncomfortable and it smelt musty, luckily we always take throws away with us so covered the sofa for the duration of our stay .. also it would have been nice to have had an iron & ironing board at the property as we hadnât taken one couldnât iron clothes all week .. someone previously must have had the sane problem and used their own in bedroom carpet where there was an iron burn mark .. a few baking trays would have been a good idea also .. on the whole a lovely place to stay but as stated a couple of things could have made better

I am so glad that I booked The Wainscott.
The cottage was beautiful and the hosts were friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. The grounds were stunning. We played a bit of tennis (badly) on the shared tennis court. We saw two families of Goslings. We found the tree house and the swing. And took great pleasure in walking around the grounds. The fresh eggs we purchased from Mrs Mitchell were delicious. You can really taste the difference. Mrs Mitchell also makes a variety of Jams. I have purchased two flavours. Oh and the hosts were amazing as they provided us with a pint of milk and also a plate of Tiffins upon arrival. Mrs Mitchell also baked us a cake we ordered from her. Overall, my experience was fantastic and I will be returning once again I hope. Thank you Mr and Mrs Mitchell for everything

A really lovely cottage which has been immaculately equipped to hotel-like standards.
The owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome; nothing seems too much trouble. The cottage is in a corner of an old farm quadrant part of which is now a pre-school day nursery. There's a lovely positive playful sound from the children (but could be a downside if you don't like the sound of children playing). The nursery closes at 6pm after which our children were allowed to use the soft play facilities and gardens. A real bonus was the use of the tennis court and access to the 50 acre wood opposite the cottage. The walk around the perimeter was about 1.3 miles and was a great place to walk our dog. All in all, a wonderful stay which felt like a proper break away from home. We hope we can book again next year.

Cow'ouse is a wonderful place to stay.
..a home from home. The secure garden is great for dogs and the cottage itself had everything I needed. It was a pleasure to cook in such a beautiful kitchen. Comfy bed, great shower and lovely linens and towels - everything felt of good quality, nothing done on the cheap. The sofa, whilst of good quality maybe isn't the comfiest if you want to curl up and watch a film (it's quite shallow and upright) but this could be improved by maybe just adding a footstool for a little extra comfort. A great base for exploring and I'd highly recommend a visit to Hodnett Hall Gardens just ten mins away. I've stayed in many holiday rentals and Cow'ouse is one that I will definitely return to.
