What our customers say about their holidays

The Cider Press We really enjoyed our weekâs stay at the Cider Press, Coppleridge and wish it could have been longer!
The well laid out property, all on one level, was beautifully clean and attractive. The beds, the sofa and chair were really comfortable. The heated towel rail meant the bathroom and the thick white towels provided were warm when one emerged from enjoying a powerful and invigorating shower. Everything we needed for a happy visit was provided including milk, tea, coffee and biscuits to welcome us after our long journey. The parking was excellent and the setting in the countryside meant it was quiet and peaceful. Having a pub, The Coppleridge Inn, hosted by a friendly landlord, that served food, just steps away, was very convenient. The property was well sited close to Shaftesbury a pleasing market town. We had easy access to a great many attractions further afield, and driving through the glorious scenery to reach them added to our delight. Top of the list of National Trust venues we visited was Kingston Lacy. Set in beautiful gardens, it is filled with fabulous paintings and treasures, and manned by superb volunteer room guides. Among the many other places we enjoyed were Tintinhull Gardens, Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door⦠oh and Lyme Regis which completely won my heart. From being comfortable at the house to enjoying exploring the area we think is the place to stay is the Cider Press and thoroughly recommend it. Maureen

Lovely flat, well situated and equiped Cleaned well. Additionals like DVDs, books, games & beach equipment are a lovely bonus to make the stay more ‘home from home’ We would definitely come again. a few things in the flat that need attention: 1. ensuite toilet makes on odd noise after being flushed 2. Lamp in small bedroom turns on and off without being touched 3. shaving lamp in main bathroom turns itself on and off 4. cushions in living room need a wash, they are a bit stained 5. washing machine door doesn't line up well and takes a bit of fiddling to close 6. The hoover smells very bad when turned on 7. Kitchen knives are blunt & there is no knife sharpener 8. Instruction’s for washing machine not in folder 9. holes in blind in big bedroom 10. When removing bedsheets we noticed the bed pillows & mattresses toppers were stained and need washing 11. Wifi was mostly none existent and completely unreliable. Didn’t seem to be located in the flat We did not use the toaster or hon so cannot comment on those. The only thing we found would of been useful to have until you could get to a shop would be kitchen roll and anti-bac spray. Everything else was there.

What a great find.
Perfect base to visit family and some nice walks. The option to wash our clothes after a torrid day was a bonus as the weather one day was horrendous. There was a lovely wood burner that sadly was too mild to light but cottage was cozy enough. The kitchen was well equipped and the lovely hosts were very thoughtful and left jam scones and clotted cream (see input the jam first) which was lovely to have with the tea and coffee provided. There was only one slight hiccup that was nothing to do with the property. The neighbouring property had a water leak and the workers had to dig a trench to sort which we had to traverse to exit property this was resolved by the time we returned. Will definitely return to this beautiful cottage. Thanks all involved

An absolute fantastic property with lovely cottage charm which was situated in a fantastic location for us to do serval day trips around some parts of Cornwall.
We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely welcoming Cornish cream tea set out for us which was a really nice touch by the host. The cottage was clean and tidy and had a lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities. The main bedroom was lovely , we would suggest a better mattress on the main bed as we found it very springy which made it difficult to sleep on especially with some back issues I have, but thatâs an easy an minor upgrade. We throughly enjoyed our stay and we definitely revisit when we come back to Cornwall. Highly recommend this cottage in a peaceful location with some pubs close by if you want to chill out after a long day of adventures in Cornwall. Thank you for a pleasant stay at your beautiful cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cider Press and we would happily stay here again!
The cottage was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although there was only two of us, having the extra bedroom gave us space to store our suitcases and to spread out a little. Everything was super clean and tidy and it was also nice to meet the owners who introduced themselves when we arrived. The location was great and we were able to visit lots of places nearby and further afield. We took a fan with us due to the heatwave, but the cottage was relatively cool inside which was good. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at The Cider Press.
