  Having stayed in St Ives on a number of previous occasions, Flat 1, 4 Fernlea Terrace was very pleasant to stay in. The views from the loung/dining room are among the best in St. Ives. So good that some may be content to watch the beaches from the flat rather than going out if the weather is poor. Located near the Malakoff bus terminus, the flat is easy to get to, but, after a 12-hour journey was not obvious which door to use to access the flat, which is next door to Tea and Coast. We let Marina at Cornish Horizons office know this when we asked for a change of bed linen after the the first week, who was very friendly and helpful, offering to updte the access instructions & provided a delivery of fresh linen. The galley kitchen is well-equipped and laid out with everything close to hand. Free wifi is excellent, plus there are USB charging sockets in the lounge & kitchen (there may be others that we didn't notice). Whilst we had no problems with the location, those with restricted mobility may find climbing Tregenna Hill, Skidden Hill & the entrance stairs a challenge, but the views from the flat more than compensate. One issue, that we did anticipate as we live in a quiet village, was traffic noise in the double room that faces Tregenna Hill. Especially at weekends during the September Festival we were awakened by loud vehicles / motorcycles in the early hours. Our solution was to use "Bio Ears" mouldable earplugs - available from Boots chemist in St Ives. It may be possible to mitigate some traffic noise if the owners could site the double bed against the wall facing the window. Also, during the festival, street lighting was intrusive, which could be a problem for some who may choose to wear an eye-mask, or be reduced by fitting a pelmet / blackout blinds / curtains. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the flat.

  What can I say.. the view from the flat is awesome, I could sit there all day looking through the windows, the location is excellent, just a short stroll down to the shops and restaurants and pubs, beaches all close by, our dog loved all the beaches as well, most of the shops and cafes are dog friendly as well. The flat itself is a good size, there was only me and the wife plus dog, plenty of space, got everything you need for your stay as it's well equipped, comfortable beds and sofas. After a few reviews said it was looking a bit tired, yes there is always room for improvement but if it had a full refurb it wouldn't be the price it is, the views and location sell this place. I would recommend this place, I'm sure it won't be the last visit here.

  Clodgy View is a lovely, comfortable property with a great sea view. Having 2 large comfortable sofas in the sitting room was fabulous for us, one each! The beds were also very comfortable. Internet not available from the main bedroom but otherwise ok. The tv had a full range of free view stations but no access to the internet, so no catch stations available. Anyone used to watching films should download to an iPad or mobile before arrival. Excellent property with a good range of utensils. We would highly recommend this property and would book again. A few different walking/driving routes down to the sea front. If walking it is downhill all the way so uphill coming back.

  Place was lovely however only downside was Internet didn't reach bedrooms and there was also no TVs in room. Car park space is very small, suggest buying a weekly parking ticket but once you move car, its hard to get parked again. We had to sometimes park at number 2, as luckily for us that wasn't occupied the week we was there, but we got told to move the car from a lady called Marie from original cottages in a manner that was not acceptable, she also didn't want to listern to what we had to say either, she wasn't very helpful at all and was rude, we would not recommend booking with them and we shall not be using them again.

  Amazing apartment in a perfect location. It’s the first time we stayed in Carbis Bay as we would normally stay in the centre of St Ives but would definitely stay here again. Everything was just so easy, beach was a 10min walk which we loved and the beach bar at Carbis bay hotel is worth a visit. You can get into St Ives on the train within minutes which made life so easy not having to take the car out and find parking constantly. The apartment itself was fab, very clean and spacious. The decor was very modern and we just felt at home making it so easy to have a chilled holiday. We couldn’t fault anything, thank you.
