  The property, Flat 4 is sold on the website, as coming with a parking place. The parking places, at the back of the property are a joke. Before arriving an email saying that the parking spot will take a small average family car, is of no use, when you've forked out over a £1000 for a flat with a parking spot. I would have struggled to park my daughters Toyota Aygo in that spot. The people in flat 5, that you rent, deliberately parked in the wrong spot, meaning no access to parking all week. When I walked up to the office to discuss the matter, I was met with complete apathy. Not interested one iota. Just go and park on the street somewhere, does not compensate for the fact that I had booked a property with a parking spot. I came away to try and de-stress and lower my blood pressure, not have to deal with the stress of finding somewhere to leave my car overnight, whilst inconsiderate clients of yours, do not follow the rules at the flats, park an oversize car, and refuse to cooperate. And before you say that the parking spot next to 4 is 7, the person in 5 blocked the car park, then later parked in 7's spot, blocking reasonable access to bay 4. There are niggles with the property that other people have mentioned in the visitors book, a hot water system that can not cope with 2 people having a shower, without running out of hot water, broken towel rails, a tv that doesn't work in the bedroom etc. The only good thing was the view, and the quick walk into town. Not the relaxing break that I was looking forward to.

  A very new property, decorated very nicely, with comfortable seating, a nice TV and with 2 parking spaces a bonus. Great location, although not for older people who are unable to walk up the hill from the seafront. A bonus to have an outdoor table and chairs. A nice and comfortable, spacious apartment. A few negative points - it would have been really nice to have had the welcome pack, as after a long drive on arrival, to have to then go out and buy milk for a cup of tea, when we had expected milk to be there was not ideal. We couldn't believe that in such a new property, the toilet rolls were not fixed to the wall. We have never stayed anywhere before where there was only 1 dishwasher tablet, half a toilet roll in each of the bathrooms - used and handled by the previous people I suspect - and only one bin liner for the main bin, which is not enough when self-catering. When using the oven for the first time, so much smoke came out that it kept setting the smoke alarms off many times and the oven tray was greasy and dirty. A few of the main cooking utensils were also dirty. There did not seem to be a way of fixing the plugs so a bowl of water could be used to shave/wash in (in both bathrooms), so this had to be done under a running tap. The blind fixing/pulley in one of the bedrooms did not work, so the blind had to be put up and down by turning the roll.

  Having stayed in the apartment a couple of years ago, my husband and I were hoping that it would be just as lovely as before. Thankfully the property was again spotlessly clean and the furnishings looked just as good as before. Given the fact that I was to be cooking main meals most days, I was appreciative of there being a good selection of utensils and pans. The knives were very sharp too. Although we never sat in the separate seating area, we found it very useful for storing our luggage so giving us more space in the bedroom. Of course, one of the main things that should attract anyone to the property is the view. It was wonderful being able to see the sea and the area closed to Old Harry rocks from the dining area - a much better view than you would get from most of the local eateries! The apartment would be in a great location for those holidaymakers who prefer to eat out though, as it was a short walk from the centre of town, where there was a good selection of restaurants, pubs and bars - the pier, beach and shops too. What's not to like about Flat 4 Penlu?!

  We found number 9 to be well equipped and a comfortable place to stay for our holiday. We were very happy with everything at the flat. On arrival there was fresh milk in the fridge and a selection of tea bags, coffee and biscuits for us. Having a designated parking space was key for us as I’m disabled and can’t walk far. The flat is on the first floor but I was able to manage the single flight of stairs okay. I’m a member of the Countryside Mobility Scheme and was able to book ahead to use a Tramper when we visited RSPB Arne (£3.50 hourly rate) and Durlston Country Park (free hire for members). It was not too far to walk from the flat to Swanage beach and a little further distance to the Railway Station. The local Co op was big enough to get everything we needed for the weekly shop and was by the station. We hope to return again next year.

  We love this beautiful and well equipped flat; it’s perfect for a family holiday, having everything you would need and even more (we always cook a full Sunday roast whilst we are visiting!). We have stayed six times in the past 4&1/2 years and keep coming back because it’s so bright and spacious, clean and welcoming, and perfectly placed in Swanage to explore the seaside town and the wider area. Our four children (aged 1 to 14) always request to come back, so when we are not camping in Corfe Castle, this is our go to holiday home. The beds are super comfy, the dining table is perfect for a family breakfast and the showers are hot. There’s even the odd bucket and spade in the cupboard, bookshelves full of books for adults and children, and board games and puzzles too. What more could you want?!
