What a wonderful cottage. A stunning location, just below the hilltop the farmhouse and attached cottage have superb countryside views. The website cottage description is entirely accurate. Comfy superking bed. We relaxed the moment we turned onto the drive. Beautiful preparation of the cottage with antique furniture, interesting garden space with seating in three linked areas surrounding the cottage allowing you to follow the sun, or seek shade. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, we will definitely return. Lovely nearby farm shop at Derwen Garden Centre for cheese, meat, fruit and veg. Owner, Rod, lives onsite and is a valuable source of info about the organic farm and it's wildlife, he understands that some people like to be left alone and some may want more info. If you love comfort, beautiful countryside, birdsong, wildflowers, butterflies and are looking to relax, this place is for you.

This is a beautiful cottage which my son and I have loved spending time in. Having never used a holiday cottage before I was unsure what to expect. On arrival I found a lovely welcome pack, milk, tea, coffee, in fact all the basics you required, even in the bathroom. I was amazed. We hired this cottage as it was close to my son’s carehome in Buxton, whilst he had wardrobes fitted. It was absolutely perfect and I would book it again in a heartbeat. The area, which I know well, is beautiful, with lovely walk’s and an easy drive into Norwich or over to the coast. The fish and chip shop just round the corner had the biggest queues and best reviews I’ve seen in the area. Thank you again to the owners for making my week away so easy.

We generally loved the place. If I was to nit-pick, I would say that my partner was startled to have a heard of cows just over the fence along with a swarm of flies. (she is a bit of a city girl really, although they did not stop her going out to sit in the sun and read her book). From my point of view I thought the bathroom a little cramped and had we been inclined to use the sauna together would have been quite cosy , to say the least haha. The TV at approx 25'' could have been bigger, But as I say all this is nit-picking. I loved he design and the decor. If it came up for sale I would consider buying it , so you can't say fairer than that !

What a delightful little cottage Seacrest is? From the minute we walked in, we felt right at home. With a lovely, slightly "retro" feel, it was so cosy with stylish soft furnishings and beautiful lighting, the gorgeous sofa was perfect for an afternoon snooze! The logburner made January days extra cosy but the storage heaters are really efficient and warmed the house very quickly when we needed it. We took our dog so the lovely long garden was a bonus and made it easy to get out onto the path down to the beach at the bottom. Small but perfectly formed, the cottage has everything you need, ideal for two people, I wanted to move in!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gabriels Place. The main order of the day was relaxing in front of the fire and we managed plenty of that. John is a most welcoming host and his suggestions in the guide book were great! We enjoyed Southwold, The Four Horseshoes and Wyken Vineyards. The walks available are beautiful and we went for the Orchid walk which was very pretty. John kindly suggested going to the village pumpkin event which meant we saw another area of the village at dusk which was lovely. The butchers is excellent and a drink at The Six Bells is an experience and so wonderfully dog friendly. Thank you!
