Hello! Our stay at the boathouse was absolutely perfect. Being from Devon originally and residing to London for the past 10 years, you can never beat the feeling of being back by the water and our stay was exactly what we needed and hoped for. The boathouse location is picturesque and watching the sunrise from the bedroom window (in what is one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in) each morning was well, beautiful. We were gifted with beautiful weather over the bank holiday weekend (even returning with a little sun-tan!) and managed to get out for long walks around the cliff edges up to Gara Rock and bike rides over East Portlemouth & Salcombe. Thank you for letting us stay in your home - it’ll be a trip we won’t forget.

We enjoyed a blissful few days at Horsepool Boathouse, thank you. The stunning watery views combined with tasteful and comfortable furnishings made it a perfect place to stay for rest and relaxation. It was easy to sit for hours, watching the boats bobbing and the swans swimming from the beautiful big windows, upstairs and down. It was a such a peaceful and tranquil spot. When the sunshine changed to showers, we felt snug and cosy, sitting by the log burner. The foot ferry to Salcombe was only a few minutes walk down the lane, making it easy for us to pop there for a delicious lunch. Stocking up on provisions at the local farm shop before arriving was a great plan as we then felt self-sufficient for our special stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Boathouse. Absolutely stunning place both for location and facilities. Perfect to us and our Labrador. We parked the car and didn’t move it for the whole stay. Having been to Salcombe before it was lovely to stay out of the town and yet have it easily accessible via a lovely walk and the ferry! The boathouse itself had everything you could need for a stay and beautifully appointed. The balcony was a gorgeous feature to sit and watch the birds and boats passing. The whole stay was incredibly relaxing as you felt you were in your own little world! Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at the boathouse and quite frankly wish we were there again right now! The views were wonderful and we would stay again definitely, I would imagine that no matter what the season it just beautiful. We had a little paddle in the kayak which was great fun although we were mostly trying to stop Bertie the pup from jumping in…it was great fun! The bathtub with the views was just wonderful! We would give the rating of 5* for the boathouse!
