What our customers say about their holidays
Bogs-by-Wells-next-the-Sea - Verified booking
We arrived two by two like beasts in a zoo. To Wells we assembled (though Benny disembled) To have a reunion, a moment of bliss High View was perfect for a moment like this.A home so welcoming, all comfort and cosy Tranquil art, soft furnishing and a fire, oh so toasty. In the well equipped kitchen we conjured up meals Curries, soup and lasagne, but no jellied eels!Stepping out on the saltmarsh, vistas unique and sprawling Big skies, rolling waves and skiffs out a'trawling We wandered and roamed, twitching birds, breathing deep Ensuring we all got the best nights' sleepHolkham Hall is magnificent in garden and brick Trying hats in the shops made those two look thick! Holt Country Park was a stunner, just ambling around Spying figures and bridges and knocking cans down.Holt welcomed us in, shops and galleries galore But the sausage rolls and cheese scones satisfied us more. When tripping was done and we made our way home Footy World Cup on TV, no more need to roam With shouting and whooping and an oooh and an ahhh.. Happier there than 'out there', more beer in our bar!!A fab bunch of "old" friends of more than 40 years Spending time here in Wells with laughter and tears (...of joy) Thank you for having us, we'll return for sure Becuase of this wonderful place, we just want MORE!!!

Weâve had a lovely week and were very lucky with the weather - no rain in April - a real Easter blessing! We love the sunny, bright house and our two mini schnauzers loved the spacious enclosed garden, a big plus. Weâve enjoyed walking on the beaches at Wells and Holkham and brunch at Bang at the top of Staithe Street. Also Holkham lake. Also loved the colourful, arty, independent shops at Holt. Follys Tearoom scones and coffee there were lovely, as was the blackcurrant and liquorice ice cream from the parlour on the main street. Such a charming town. Enjoyed mooching around Burnham Market too and quick stop at quaint Blakeney Quay. Dogs enjoyed walking the esplanade at Cromer on our last day, and we finished off a lovely week with a meal out at Wells Crab House. Food was great and staff very friendly too. House and parking has been great though weâd have appreciated a bit more surface space in the bathrooms upstairs. Were also freaked out three times at 10pm by the TV turning on all by itself! (a previous comment said this was fixed, so thought you should know itâs not). Only other thing, a bbq was mentioned in the description but it was not in the garden (we would have used it). We hope to return one day, thank you.

Amazing Holiday, Thank you!
We had a really lovely stay at Orchard View, it was in a great position that's not overlooked and people aren't walking past which was great for Amber my dog. The views over the countryside from the decking/hot tub were stunning. The lodge was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The sofas and bed were comfy, the kitchen was well equiped even with a full sized fridge/freezer so plenty of room to store food. Made good use of the furniture out on the decking as well as the hot tub! Someone from the site did check the hot tub daily, and apart from the first day when they walked in unannounced and were greeted by 40kg of protective Ridgeback, it wasn't too disruptive. They did shout from the gate for the rest of the week if we were in and usually arrived between 9:30am & 10:30am. The site was quiet, the cafe next door and the icecream van across the road were both amazing. The views across Bossiney Haven were really stunning and access to the west coast path couldn't have been easier. We had an amazing holiday with weather so good we couldnt have wished for better! We would definitely recommend Orchard View and would love to return for another holiday, thank you for a fantastic stay!

Nice lodge, not over looked so hot tub was quite private, clean tidy but to get the car into the allocated parking space was so tight!
If there had been a car in the allocated space of the lodge at the bottom of the hill then there is no way weâd have got our vehicle into our parking place! Also visitors need to bear in mind the walk to the beach is extremely steep, there are hand rails which are very much needed, the beach is however lovely but take account of tide times as if tide is in then there is no beach. The walk into Tintagel is lovely via the coastal route but a good 30 mins away more the 1/2 mile! There is a lovely cafe next to the holiday park where the owners are very welcoming with a wealth of knowledge of the area and they do a great breakfast but they shut at 5pm so if you are looking for evening food then there is nothing local so itâs either a walk to Tintagel or a drive to somewhere else. We enjoyed our stay, the dogs had a great time, we were extremely lucky with the weather so walking into town for food each night was no issue, it would have been a different story if it had been a week of rain! Lovely lodge just make sure you research the area as a car is needed!
