What our customers say about their holidays
Natalie - Verified booking
Although we had a wonderful time in South Devon, we were rather disappointed with Seaspray.
There were several things within the property that did not meet our holiday needs. The single bed is not a standard width size, although our 12 year old child slept ok, there is no way an adult could sleep in that bed and have adequate space. The king size bed is very soft so our backs suffered, and I kept banging my leg on the frame every time I got out of bed as the frame is too wide/chunky for the room, and the chest of drawers too, such a small gap to get around. The property needs a good clean - in particular the kitchen and towel rails in the bathroom. The oven was filthy. Several small things werenât working properly, the toaster, the kitchen clock, the curtain pole in the bedroom. The bath towels are tiny and didnât smell very nice, nor did the hoover. The glass on the bedside tables is dangerous as it kept sliding off, and we werenât keen on the glass dining table - maybe this property is better suited to a mature couple with no children. Although the property description said there was access to a lawned communal shared garden we found nowhere detailing which garden this was. We phoned the management company to ask. Unfortunately there is nowhere to hang or dry swimming/beach towels outside. We didnât feel comfortable using the garden but thatâs our choice. None of this spoilt our holiday as thankfully the weather was lovely so we were out most of the time. Both Smart TVs worked well which was helpful. The flat is in a great location for exploring this beautiful area of Devon - right next to bus stops, and the wonderful village of Stoke Fleming. We wouldnât return to Seaspray but will definitely return to this area again.

Toilet main bathroom Toilet seat cracked and broken Tired bathrooms-both Showers leak -both Miscellaneous pubic hairs on the toilet seat and side of bath and on the towels provided, eew yak!
Rain shower in main bathroom needs descaling as water drips out ! Clock living room and hallway not working-unimportant really Garden Furniture not cleaned Table covered in poop Unswept and untidy Oven Unclean! Disgraceful! Kitchen cupboards all need a scrub as dirty and âbitsâ floating about Floor in apartment filthy - needs a good mop - probably a few times! Carpets are beyond disgusting!! Need replacement! Beds made up extremely poorly Saying that, crap bedding duvets, duvet covers and pillows all need replacement! But beds comfy All in all, very tired Stayed with coast and country 5 times and always been excellent Sadly this time seriously disappointed and makes me wonder if Iâd pick coast country again? Atm Iâd say no!! This apartment is not suitable for anyone that is unfit as hilly (extremely hilly) by that we mean, a very steep climb up and down into Dartmouth And no parking (but we knew that) Also to note steps up to both bathrooms!! Have a good think before you book this property, I wouldnât have wasted our money had I known or read any recent reviews (of which there were very few) Gutted we booked this place and want to go home and thatâs day one What could be a lush apartment only needs a lil bit of money spent on it! Mad really

"From the moment we arrived at Harbour View, we knew we were in for something special. The location is unbeatable—perched right on the riverfront, we felt like we had our own private front-row seat to Dartmouth’s activity. Watching boats from the comfort of the living room quickly became a daily ritual, and we couldn’t get enough of those early morning views. The large windows and cosy sofas, was our go-to spot for lazy mornings and evening catch-ups over wine. We loved how bright and airy everything felt, with natural light flooding in from every angle. The kitchen had everything we needed for whipping up breakfast or indulging in a cheeky midnight snack (which happened more than once!). The bedrooms? Dreamy! Soft linens and plush beds. We slept like logs and felt refreshed each morning, ready to explore the charming streets of Dartmouth just a short stroll away. But what really made Harbour View stand out was that perfect blend of being so close to the heart of Dartmouth, yet still feeling like a peaceful haven to escape to. It was the best of both worlds. For anyone looking for a stay that’s as relaxing as it is exciting, Harbour View is a total win. We’re already plotting our return!" — Finest Stays Team

For several years Ferry View was our go-to property in Dartmouth but it had become a little tired, so we went elsewhere.
This was our first time back since its mini refurb and itâs certainly improved in some aspects. However, on arrival we were disappointed to note that the patio off the kitchen was in a dreadful state and obviously hadnât been cleaned for quite some time. The next morning I rang Sykes and asked for it to be sorted. To cut a long story short, despite a very prompt response from the company, the problem was not dealt with - apparently a specialist clean would need to be booked in advance - and consequently we were unable to make use of this pleasant little sun trap. Added to this, the twin room en-suite shower cabinet requires some work to remove mouldy silicon and the anti-slip bath mat was so grotty we hid it from sight. The apartment itself was generally very well cleaned and presented, though some guidance about how to find the âhiddenâ cutlery drawer would have been appreciated - a sticky label on the front would do the trick. The instructions re the rubbish disposal also caused some confusion as there were contradictory notices attached to the fridge. Come on Sykes, get your finger out and make this apartment as good as it should be,

Fantastic location if "in-town" is what you want, and we did.
Observations - (1) the small bathroom's extractor fan didn't work so the bathroom got overwhelmed with steam, I mentioned this to the person when I dropped off the key. (2) the small bathroom's door catches on the floor when you open/close it and is extremely annoying. (3) There were oven gloves and tea towels supplied but the description emphasized there weren't for some reason. So we took our own for no reason. Annoying - (1) the small bathroom is actually painfully small, you cannot sit on the loo properly and exiting the shower is just dangerous as the WC is in the way. We ended up all using the larger bathroom with aged grandmother which was what we were trying to avoid in the first place by choosing a property with 2 bathrooms. (2) The big rubbish bin in the kitchen is awful as you have to press down one side with your hand, it needs to be a pedal bin. (3) The position of the dishwasher right next to the sink means you can't get to anything when it's door is open.
