What our customers say about their holidays

2 couples , 2 dogs and we really enjoyed our peaceful post xmas and new year break.
Easy check in with great comms. Felt at home as soon as we walked through the front door. Lovely cozy converted barn with a log burner gave it a nice cottage feel but spacious at the same time. Didn't feel like we were under each others feet, Each bedroom had a nice modern en suite bathroom. Beds comfy with extra pillows if needed. Kitted out well with everything you'd need for a weeks holiday. Decorated to very high standard. Kitchen could do with more food storage and a decent sharp cutting/cooking knife. Hot tub was huge. We've used many hot tubs in holiday homes and this is by far the best - very impressive .Nice and private with fantastic views. Only gripe is there could be more lighting walking to the hot tub in the dark , and the decking can get very slippy when wet. Dogs loved the outdoor space but felt our dog being a smaller dog could of got out so we had to watch him all the time. Not a complaint but it isn't secure for a small dog , maybe some chicken wire at the bottom of the front and back gate would help. It did make us a bit on edge with it being onto the road and obviously fields. Beautiful walks on your door step. Gryn Moelfre mountain literally at the rear the property, great leg burn (my other half made it look so easy) Trig at the top to add to our list . the views were amazing and well worth the climb. Nearest pub is 1.9 miles away - The Wynnstay Inn. Took about 40 minutes to walk down a quite country lane. Lovely warm welcome from staff & locals . Didn't eat there so cant comment. Pictures really don't do this place justice as its a lot nicer in the flesh. Considering re booking for the summer so can take advantage of the lovely out door space. Thank you for welcoming us at your beautiful barn " Plas Moelfre Hall Barns" a great start to 2024.

Our party included 3 couples and 1 big pup.
We stayed at Plas Moelfre Hall Barn to bring in the new year and it was a perfect relaxing getaway. Had all the things you could possibly need and so well equipped. The barn retained heat very well which was important to us as we visited during mid winter. The scenery around the property is amazing, we even managed to see the end of the northern lights as the owners were kind enough to message us and let us know they were visible outside. We saw some reviews saying the garden wasnât secure for doggoâs however we had no issues with our big doggo escaping and the walk trail behind the property was perfect for him. Although the property is in a very remote location and in extreme weather it can be difficult getting to supermarkets due to the narrow roads, home delivery shopping through Just Eat was still available so this wasnât an issue at all. Shower pressure was great and the beds were very comfy. The only thing I would suggest is the TV is a little high whereas the sofas are very low, however this was barely an issues because the property had so many other facilities which kept us busy! Overall we had a fantastic stay and we didnât want to leave. Thank you to Lowri and Gwyn for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting a quiet lavish getaway!

We would definitely recommend staying here.
Itâs nicely furnished, cosy, and spacious; our party included four adults, two dogs and a toddler but we didnât feel cramped. The garden is large and ideal for dogs/kids to run around in, and has several different seating areas to appreciate the extensive stunning views. There were lovely Welsh cakes and eggs provided on arrival, and brew kit, as well as thoughtful features like dog bowls/treats, and double towels for showering and hot tub use. We arrived with some basics for tea and planned to do a bigger shop the following day; that worked well as itâs a bit of a drive to the nearest shop- not a complaint, as the peace and tranquility of the local area was just what we wanted. There are lots of outdoor activities within a 30 min drive; our favourites were Lake Vyrnwy and the National Ironworks Centre / Sculpture trail. We have already recommended the barns to our friends and weâd love to come back and explore the area at different times of the year ourselves. Thanks so much for a perfect stay.

We had a lovely weekend at Rhianwen , the barn far exceeded our expectations.
Spotlessly clean , very well equipped with lovely bedding and fluffy towels. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious with very comfortable beds , powerful showers and light up make up mirrors in bathrooms. It was great to have separate towels provided for hot tub use. I met the owners by chance on my arrival and they were very friendly and helpful . Farmer Jack drove past us a few times in his Land Rover and always had a wave and a quick word . It was a lovely touch to have milk , welsh cakes and fresh local eggs waiting for us. The under floor heating kept the whole place very cosy and warm though we did also light the log burner ... logs and firelighters were also provided. The hot tub was very large and easily seated six of us. We also used the games room one evening for table tennis and darts. There are lots of scenic walks nearby and also on the farm owners land .. full details are provided in a guest handbook. This is a beautiful barn conversion which I would thoroughly recommend .

Rhianwen is a beautiful barn conversion in a stunning rural setting.
The owners are very attentive and answered all queries we had very quickly. We were a family of 6 and 1 member of our family had a disability. The barn access catered for disabled users and two of the bedrooms. The bedroom with wet room could do with a grab rail in the shower and a dressing table for sitting whilst getting ready. The owner brought down a high backed chair to add to the lounge seating for my Mum and I was very thankful as the sofas are very low. The beds are super comfy and all of us agreed on this. We had a few issues with mice being noisy at night in the attic but the owners acted upon this the very next day. The hot tub is a bonus but our girls were disappointed by the games room as it's more like a garage and they didn't feel comfortable spending time in it but the men of the family enjoyed a game of darts. Overall, I would highly recommend the barn as we had a very relaxing break.
