  This is the second time we have stayed at Far Barn, previous visit was 3 years ago.

  This is the main reason we decided to book again. It’s a beautiful place, very cosy & comfy, light & airy & has everything you need for a happy holiday. It was cleaner than last time, which was a bonus, as we did have a few issues with the cleanliness after Covid. Pleased to see that they have sorted that problem out. It’s a lovely part of the country to visit, plenty to do & the dogs love the barn & the garden. The neighbours are very friendly & helpful, one of them even gave us some duck food, as none had been left this time. We all adore feeding the ducks, that’s one of the attractions for us, they even eat out of your hand, it’s really fun & the dogs love watching their hilarious antics. The beds are very comfy, the weather was a bit cold so we had to put the heating on, but it soon warmed up. Our daughter & her husband stayed for the weekend as well & were taken up in the magic of this converted barn. We usually rent a detached property so we don't have any noise from the neighbours, this is attached at one side to a very lovely couple & because the wall between the property is so thick, you don’t hear a thing. Would recommend this to anyone & everyone, if you want a holiday home that’s safe for the children & as in our case the dogs, then this is the place for you, you’ll love it.   Such a beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting.

  The cottage had everything we needed with extra perks, such as a lovely welcome pack, starter pack of sachets of tea, coffee, dishwasher tablet, washing up sponges, tea towels. I had brought my own but it was a nice touch. Hairdryer, logs and kindling for the log burner and even food for the ducks! We restored the wood and duck food for the next guests. The cottage is about 15 minutes drive from Wells and it was ideal for dog walking. We’d get in the car, park up and have the most beautiful walks on the beach. We did this every morning and then come ‘home’ for coffee and plan our day. Sandringham is only 20 minutes drive and is such a beautiful estate. Again, dog friendly walks. Even the restaurant will accept dogs. For us it was about unwinding and relaxing. We would go out each morning, maybe have a spot of lunch out and then come back mid to late afternoon, put some logs on the wood burner, play a few games and watch a film. Order a takeaway or rustle up something and unwind. Just beautiful. We would definitely return. Thank you so much the the use of this beautiful cottage

  The property was very clean apart from cobwebs on the beams especially on the mezzanine, nothing that the long duster found in the shed couldn’t deal with though.

  Also buried in the shed was a Henry vacuum cleaner but without a floor attachment and tube. As conscientious dog owners we wanted to clean up hair and debris a couple of times during the stay. The upstairs mattress was very comfortable but the downstairs ones were less so. The larger sofa was quite saggy and low making it trickier for older guests, and far too many cushions everywhere that required dumping on the spare bunk! Otherwise all was lovely. We found neither of the fire lighters worked and no matches to be found so we went without the fire on the first evening. Luckily we do carry a dog guard when we travel but it may be useful to mention one may be needed to prevent them getting upstairs. On the whole a lovely place to stay, so easy for so many beaches and a very secure garden.

  This little cottage is truly amazing. It is home from home but with beautiful and quiet surroundings. We arrived on a cold February weekend but the cottage was lovely and warm on arrival. We enjoyed time in the hot tub and then back inside in front of the log burner. Upon reading other reviews l have never seen anyone mention the large window in the main bedroom. Laying on the bed and watching the horses roam around was truely lovely. We are a family of 4 with 2 young boys. We were looking for quality family chill time and it's exactly the experience we had. David and Vance are lovely and very welcoming. We will definitely look at returning again one day. Thank you so much! The Martins

  Our stay in West Barn, was absolutely lovely. The barns are set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, with animals visible from the windows, which my daughter absolutely loved. The courtyard area was a lovely place to sit and relax, set amongst the wild hollyhocks. The icing on the cake was of course the pool which was so nice to relax in after a long drive and even a short splash before the next days breakfast. Do be aware that there are other barns occupied adjacent, so it's not super private. But a lovely stay if you're looking for somewhere to base yourself to relax, and then enjoy the area and maybe day trip to the beach or Holkham Hall. Would absolutely stay again and recommend.
