  This property does not have a garden as advertised and is not safe for dogs.

  The owner has put a bench in the gravel driveway in front of the property which leads directly on to the road. The first specification we were looking for was a safe garden for the dogs and this was misrepresented in the Sykes description. The picture taken from the front of the property is false; there is a wooden fence blocking one side of the property which is missing from the photo which makes the front gravel area the owner represents as a ‘garden’ appear significantly larger than it is. The property is smaller than it appears in the pictures. The downstairs room are very dark and dingy. The whole property is poorly ventilated and stinks of damp. The internet does not work in the downstairs of the property. The positives are the property is well located, clean and comfortable.

  Larch Barn was amazing.

  From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Its clean and really comfortable in a lovely and quiet location - ideal for switching off and getting away from it all. Despite this peaceful location you aren't cut off in any way as you aren't far from amenities and places to go. Helston (central in southern/western Cornwall) is only a few minutes drive away and there are lovely places to visit on the Lizard etc. We love this part of the county and have stayed in various properties but Larch Barn stands out as one of the best. Larch Barn's owners live next door and are really nice people - they were so helpful and friendly and helped us feel settled in. Simply put, Larch Barn is outstanding and we'll definitely look to book here again.

  Absolutely beautiful property and in a great location to explore the local area.

  The cottage was home from home. The owners Tim and Lynne were there to greet us when we arrived and to show us around. There was a great welcome basket and we were truly spoilt. The kitchen was really well equipped and had everything that you could possibly need. There was a lot of attention to detail. I think this property is very understated with its bio and although I have previously said I would never stay anywhere twice I would definitely make the exception here, the best cottage we have stayed in yet. The garden was beautiful somewhere to sit on the evenings. Well done Tim and Lynne you have an amazing little gem here.

  The Nest is a lovely period cottage that we love.

  Maintained to a high standard, very clean, modernised sympathetically and very comfortable. Nestled away, very quiet & relaxing. Not far from places to visit. The cottage was all we expected & more. Tim & Lynne made us very welcome to the extent that we class them as friends. We had a bad start as 2 of our group could not come due to illness& we were unable to contact Sykes Cottages, with no response even to e.mail. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ghe Nest & would recommend it.

  Warm and inviting hoilday accommodation, hosts are friendly and very helpful.

  Cream tea and bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival ( very generous portion ) Peacefull setting ,beautiful surroundings.. 4 legged friends to great you daily ( cows and dogs ) Accessible for people with mobility related issues ,just one small issue for us was the sofa very low but very comfortable ( had trouble getting up from it ) Bed very comfortable, kitchen well equipped ... Read instruction on how to get to property as we took the wrong lane ..
