What our customers say about their holidays

Brook Lodge was stunning!! We fell in love with it as soon as we opened the doors. The open plan kitchen/living room was spacious, light and well laid out. A really comfortable recliner sofa. Every possibility was catered for in the kitchen. The bathroom was so luxurious with a huge stand alone bath and a waterfall shower. The bedroom was spacious, lots of storage and the bath robes were a welcome treat. The hot tub was set to temperature on arrival and we certainly took advantage of that during our stay. A very thoughtful welcome basket awaited us in the kitchen along with milk, cheese, butter, bread, tea, coffee and grapes in the fridge, unexpected, but most appreciated. We had a Sainsbury's delivery come that day, but it allowed us to have a lovely cup of tea with biscuits whilst we waited. There is a veranda that goes the whole way around the sides and back of the property with two recline beds for relaxing a table and chairs with umbrella if you want to eat outside, along with the hot tub. You have your own gate that leads down some steps to the meadow and fields below and a brick BBQ. There are four other lodges, but they are set back enough and have lots of shrubbery to feel you have total privacy. The grounds are amazing. We took our two dogs with us and we enjoyed some lovely walks, despite one day of rain. Free wi-fi and smart tv ensured we could enterain ourselves in the evenings. A very informative booklet was available, detailing local restaurants, pubs, walks etc, as well as in the surrounding areas. menus for local restaurants that deliver and booklets about places of interest were also included. Everything you need to know about the lodge, the equipment, etc was covered. I could go on for ever, we can't praise it enough. We will most definitely come back. It is perfect for all year round visits, I imagine Christmas with snow would be amazing. 5 star luxury across the board. You won't be disappointed. Don't delay, book now!

A True Hidden Gem My wife surprised me with a stay at the Northcott Hut in Cornwall for my 40th birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience.
Situated on a secluded family-run farm with picturesque views of the sea, this shepherd's hut is a true hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, Andrea was the perfect host, ensuring every detail was taken care of. She even organized a balloon and a bottle of bubbles for my birthday, which was a delightful touch. The hut itself is wonderfully appointed, with all the facilities one could need. The log burner was perfect for the cooler months, creating a cozy winter retreat, while the outdoor BBQ and beautiful outdoor jacuzzi made for a perfect summer escape. The jacuzzi can be used all year round, and with the outdoor burner, evenings become even cozier as you watch the beautiful stars. Sun loungers are also provided for those sunny days. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the cosy blankets for evening outdoor seating around the log fire to the robes and premium toiletries provided. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a BBQ with fresh fish from the local fishmongers, making the evening even more special as we watched the sunset. If you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway in Bude, look no further. The photos donât do justice to the stunning views, especially at sunset. Northcott Hut is truly a perfect blend of comfort, seclusion, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!

Welcome pack was excellent , the bed itself was very comfortable, and the hot tub itself was great and the location for walks was relaxing. However, there was only one breakfast cereal bowl which was a bit strange and very few utensils like table spoons and serving spoons so it was hard to serve anything up using small spoons, and there should be more tea cups as three is not enough. The TV should be bigger and the sofa smaller as we had to keep moving it to either open the doors or turn it to watch the TV. One major issue is the safety, you do not mention in the write up that it could be unsuitable for the older person or people with mobility problems, the stairs to get into the property are quite steep and if someone has a suitcase and is not so mobile this could be an issue. Getting into the hot tub could also have an impact as the steps are low and there is not a handrail. The bath also needs a handrail to get in and out of or change it for a shower cubicle which would be better and to get into the far side of the bed is also difficult. But for us it was fine but I can see potential problems with some but with some changes could be better.

We feel so lucky to have found The Garden Room. Itâs the perfect little bolthole for a peaceful escape. Nestled in a secret location in a tiny village near an ancient church with a 1000-year old yew tree, itâs totally private. The cosy room has everything you need - itâs absolutely immaculate and beautifully appointed with a well-equipped kitchen and snuggly linens. The hot tub is absolutely superb - properly hot and spacious with powerful roiling bubbles. We visited in late October and the weather was appalling, so we couldnât enjoy the delightful garden as much as we would have liked, but it was lovely to gaze out onto. We did get out on one wonderful circular hike between downpours with our little dog up to Ditchling Beacon from a public footpath just yards from the door - gorgeous views at the top. The generous welcome treats were well beyond our expectations - we are so grateful and we didnât even have to go out shopping for basics after arriving! Great pub food, groceries and beaches are just a short drive away. We definitely plan to return.
