The Gardener's Retreat was a perfect little piece of luxury for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Perfect for our little doggy to have a trot around the garden, fully enclosed! The garden is shared with another cottage that allows dogs so that is something to bare in mind when booking - luckily both our dogs were friendly and enjoyed the space together but its worth baring in mind if you're travelling with a less friendly dog! The bed was so comfortable and the facilities top tier - the hot tub is wonderful and a real treat to tend a fire before stepping in. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed all the contents. We couldn't ask for more! One tiny note - we were asked to strip the beds at the end of the stay and of course we are happy to help but from experience in other places, it can ruin the luxury feel to reveal well used duvets and pillows! Everything was clean and new here though - but just a thought for future!

We will be coming back and definitely recommend it to our friends and family. The area is nice, not too far away from the threlkeld to Keswick railway walk which was very good that we did one morning. And good driving distance from the major Lake District places, such as we visited pooley bridge, Keswick, Windermere, bowness, and Kendal. Thank you to the owners for all they have done. A wonderful location and luxurious cabins perfect for a romantic getaway. We had a lovely time and you are surrounded by the lovely area with plenty of nature to soak in and a hot tub to soak yourself in after. Sharps edge was a perfect cabin for the two of us, clean and well kept with a great powerful shower and a hot tub to rest those aching feet after a days walking. The views are beautiful and we both would recommend as a romantic getaway. The small kitchenette allowed us to have a fry up!

Cottage was perfect. We took pictures of the mountains 10miles away but never thought we was situated in front of them. Amazing view and even got to see the USAF in action. If any negative the fairy lights around the hot tub cause a little light pollution when gazing but other than that the hot tub was amazing to. We spoke about coming back to the lakes but would anywhere else top the experience we had them 2 days. You made a birthday girl very happy thank you so much. We've recommended you.

We loved everything about this pod. It was extremely clean, comfortable and amazingly well equipped for a compact space. The attention to little details made our stay extra special - thank you for the scones, gingerbread and milk! The location is beautiful and peaceful, but within easy reach of Keswick. We enjoyed walks around the nearby lakes of Buttermere, Derwentwater and Ullswater. The site was ideal for a dog. The weather was terrible, so we were very grateful to have such a cosy base!
