The Owners of 6 Arlington clearly care for their customers.
They set out to give everything sensibly necessary. Disappointed to find an ashtray on the Balcony Table having chosen the property because it said 'No Smoking' (It did not cause us any problem). I am afraid that the Lift had a very bad smell noticeable for the entire week. I guess it comes from the 'Rubbish Collection Area' where the Lift possibly rests. (Again did not cause us any problem because it did not infiltrate into the property). I mention it because it is the first thing that a customer encounters when entering the Block and can start off by giving the wrong impression. Everything was well organised from Sykes point of view. Arriving, entering and leaving went like clockwork. The Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc Bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. Car Parking was perfect except for the thousands of messages left by the seagulls. I'm glad that we had Satnav to find the property. You might like to consider a crisper pictorial approach. A little disappointed with Ilfracombe itself. It did not match my memory of the Town arrived at 65 years ago when I was 15 and came to Combe Martin with the Boys Brigade. I guess it is not sensible of me to expect anything else but it now has a 'Blackpool' image when in reality the Town is anything but. Would we book again; Sykes - Yes; 6 Arlington - Yes; Ilfracombe - No. I/we have tried to be constructive based on many years of travel throughout the world. Hope it turns out to be useful to you. Fabulous luxury apartment with amazing sea views.
Spotlessly clean on arrival with a lovely welcome pack including a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon - very nice touch. Lovely modern decor and furnishings. Games for the children, games console (which we hardly used as there was so much to do on the beaches), books and DVDs. Wet suit and body boards supplied. Very well equipped kitchen even down to scales, measuring jugs etc. Extremely comfortable lounge furniture and very comfortable beds, excellent location only a couple of minutes' walk to the beach and about 5 minutes walk to the harbour. Lots of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms within walking distance and even a Michelin-starred restaurant a few minutes' walk away. Designated parking space which is essential in Ilfracombe, medium walk/short drive to lots of other lovely beaches. We would happily come back here, probably the nicest accommodation we've ever stayed in on holiday.

Penryn is a gorgeous apartment split over the upper two levels of a townhouse.
The owner lives underneath with the accommodation having its own entrance on the first floor. The owner is non-intrusive but also helpful and friendly. The 3 bedrooms, living area, kitchen and 2 bathrooms provided plenty of space for our family of 5. WiFi for the kids too! The apartment was exceptionally clean. The kitchen was very well equipped, even including condiments, cleaning materials etc. A washing machine was also handy for a particularly muddy day at an adventure park. We only had to buy food - Lidl is just down the road. Boardgames and plenty of linen was also much appreciated. The location of the apartment is excellent, 5 mins walk from tunnels beaches & 10/15 mins from the beautiful harbour. The Indian restaurant at the end of the road was also very nice. All in all a lovely apartment!

The accommodation was spacious, occupying the top two floors of a Victorian terrace close to the coast.
The kitchen with large dining table seemed to have been recently fitted out and met all our needs. The communication with the owner and introductory tour of the property was excellent and the owner was very helpful. The entrance is shared with the owner who lives on the ground and lower ground floors, but the apartment has a lockable front door within the building. Parking can be difficult as the road is very central without any parking restrictions. However, we always found parking either in the road where the property is situated or in nearby roads suggested by the owner. We visited outside of school holidays in the 3rd week of September.

A very well appointed property within easy reach of the harbour and many other attractions.
The flat is very new and the public areas are kept very clean and tidy. The Parking is marked out with the flat number the space relates to so there is no prob;em with losing a space. The flat and the amenities supplied by the Owners are much more than we have experienced at any other properties and were very much appreciated. Due to the weather conditions at the time of our visit the owner telephoned us to make alternative arrangements for the booking due to snow and apologised because it had not been possible to arrange an arrival pack. Not a problem for us. We would thoroughly recommend this flat.
