  The cottage was lovely. The kitchen was cozy and had all the appliances we needed alongside a table that was plenty big enough for the 2 of us but you could comfortably fit 4 there. We did not use the utility room due to a leak they informed us about before we were there (being fixed!!) but it had a washing machine ironing board and hoover, etc. The living room was spacious with two comfy couches, a coffee table that we managed to fit our (massive) board games on, and a TV with freeview. They explained everything (local area, what to do with the bins and washing, etc) in a handbook which was a nice touch. Upstairs there was a small bedroom with a single bed, we did not use this as there was only the two of us but it would be fitting for a child, probably a bit small for an adult. Was a nice bedroom though with wardrobe space. The main bedroom was very comfortable and spacious, the bed itself was a perfect size. Wardrobe space was the same as the small bedroom so possibly could have been bigger but there was also a dresser so there was enough room for all our belongings on a 5 night visit. The bathroom was massive and gorgeous- the only fault would be the baths drain was not working properly. We managed to get it to work well enough for it to not bother us too much. The heating in the property was a small issue as the old gas fire (seemed unkept so we didn’t bother after a while) was difficult to work and the central heating turns itself off after an hour and a half (manually turn it back on every time). I do understand this is for health and safety and appreciate that but it is very cold, bring blankets and hoodies. Both bedrooms had lovely views of the mountains and town. Outside was lovely- it is a shame about the weather as we would have loved to sit out there! Beautiful views and the parking is fine for 1 small/medium size car (although pebbled and a pain to parallel/reverse park into). The location is stunning and the town is nice enough, couple takeaways and pubs, tesco express and a londis. Locals seemed lovely, alongside the owners. Overall beautiful experience thank you, we would love to come back!

  Just got back from 2 weeks holiday, we absolutely loved Crows Nest.

  Difficult to try and fit it all in:- so much living space fab conservatory opening out onto great decking from which we often had red squirrel visit, saw close up great spotted woodpecker and nightly visits from an owl. By the torch light we were delighted to watch this huge brown owl sat watching us AMAZING! Heavy rain couple of nights we moved into cosy living room. Adrian and Linda lived next door and were on hand for any queries and advice where to visit. We received the best welcome gifts ever Wine chocolates and flowers with fresh flowers on 2 week. Benllech beach is 5 minute drive which we did each morning for daily dog walk. Our Jack Russell loved the outside space which had so many different areas and he had no problems at all with their cat or the cat with him! We loved nautical ⚓ theme with so much to look at we were still spotting something new a week into our hols. Comfy beds, great shower, good parking, central location to getting around the island Super holiday. We will definitely go back and would recommend.   The cottage met and, indeed ,exceeded all our expectations. It is in an ideal location to get to the mountains and the seaside. Zip World and some lovely walks were available straight from the door. It had all the amenities we could possibly have wanted and we found it very comfortable and spacious for our needs (two of us). Even the Eryri weather was very good during our two week stay so we were very glad that we were able to enjoy the beautiful garden. We only had one day of relentless rain, and were more than happy to stay in the cottage, resting our aching legs after a particularly strenuous hike and watching TV and reading. As hikers, we particularly appreciated having the utility room with washer, dryer etc and the bathroom was fantastic with a great shower, bath and lots of space. We loved staying there and would definitely stay again.

  Cottage is lovely and spacious and loved the seafaring theme throughout for owners Adrian and Linda.

  Have us lots of information of the local area and beyond and left flowers and chocolates on our arrival. Cottage lovely and clean as we're the bedding and towels. Conservatory and decking area is fabulous with great views. We had the squirrel visiting daily and was fortunate to see 2 on our last day. The only thing to be aware of is the step leading into the bathroom but we overcame this by plugging in a night light in the lounge for overnight. The couple of gates in the cottage were great as it kept our 2 dogs Biscuit and Bailey from entering the bedrooms. Loved our holiday so much that we've booked again to return in September.   High standard of hygiene, even in drawers and cupboards, which are so often missed. Excellent shower pressures and a lovely deep bath! Equipment was generally good and a sharp set of knives are always a bonus. Beds and pillows super comfortable. We visit Oxwich at least twice a year (I am originally from Bishopston) and have always previously stayed in one of the various accommodation incarnations of the Oxwich Bay Hotel. We really wanted a change this year and were so pleased we did! Netherend is a far more affordable and comfortable option, particularly with our dogs and yet less than 5 minutes to the beach. Would definitely recommend this house and we would book again.
