Property was perfect for what we were looking for!
Quiet location with good facilities in the cottage. We especially enjoyed using the log burner as this made the cottage really cosy! The cottage really has all amenities you would need, and was very comfortable. Use of Netflix on the tv was really enjoyed by our daughter and was a real perk. We enjoyed the local walk routes accessible from the cottage, and attended one of the local pubs. We would love to return to the cottage in the future. Our dog struggled a little bit with the staircase, but was ok if we helped him down. Thank you to the owners for a lovely holiday.

Great cosy cottage.
Quiet and lovely views to mountains over campsite. Excellent having onsite fish and chips. We found it a great base to explore. Only thing stopped it being 5 star was kitchen was poorly equipped. Knives blunt and no bread knife, no salt and pepper, no foil/cling film, kitchen cleaner or even a dustpan and brush. You have to bring everything. Maybe because it's on a campsite but I've got used to a few "extras" with other cottages. We had a v squeaky door which hadn't been greased so a bit of margarine helped with that!

The unusual layout (upside down) took a bit of getting used to.
Beds were very comfortable and storage was good. Bathroom had everything we needed. Kitchen was very well equipped but the dining table and chairs being on a cream carpet was a worry every time we sat down to eat! However we managed to avoid any spillages. The Sofa and chairs were very comfy and the large TV and selection of games was a great bonus. Lovely location and a great view from the upstairs lounge windows. Brilliant for Acorn Bank, Brougham Castle, Penrith and Carlisle.

We absolutely loved this place.
It was cosy and perfect for us. The pub down the road became our local for the duration! Sunday roast there might be one of the best Iâve had. Lots of walks a drives away. We had trouble finding it because the postcode is actually the entire road apparently. We found it eventually and couldnât have been happier. Recommend this place over and over
