  I had a really lovely stay last week, the flat is very comfortable indeed. The view across to Fowey is super, and although you view it across the boatyard roof this was in no way distracting. There are nesting Gulls on the boatyard roof opposite but they didn't cause me any disturbance and neither did the occasional sounds from the working boatyard. The little garden was a nice bonus, a lovely spot to have an evening meal...just watch out for the gulls! Kitchen was really well equipped for cooking at home. Shower room works really well, lots of hot water and fluffy towels. The bed and pillows in the double room are perfect, especially for someone with a slightly bad back, just the right amount of firmness. There's a hairdryer too so no need to pack that! The flat is in a great spot for coastal walks too, from Polruan and Fowey. So many places to eat in Fowey. I loved the peacefulness and slow pace of Polruan. I would definitely stay in the flat again.

  Lovely property in good location with amazing views. Very clean, tidy and airy. Be prepared for some steep climbs back up to the property if you go down to the Quay as it is not advisable to go down by car due to very narrow streets and very little parking. However, don't be put off by the steep hills as it is well worth the effort. Some stunning walks in the area. All in all, a lovely property and area!! A word of warning ......after leaving the B3359 follow the instructions given by Cornish Horizons not SatNav, otherwise you can be sent down some very narrow lanes with no passing places.

  I felt the property just missed being that something special. House felt cold and soulless. Little simple comforts missing that we have always had with other Cornish homes. Throws on the setee for cold evenings, rug by the fire with a basket of wood ready. Chair in the bedroom to put your clothes on instead of the floor. No mirror near a plug to dry your hair in the main bedroom. Impossible small shower with no escape from the water. No scones waiting after a long journey! Too much emphasis on supplying every utensil known, missing the touches that bring you back.

  Castle Green Cottage in Polruan was wonderful very well equipped, comfortable and beautiful views over the harbour. We used buses, ferries and cliff walks to enjoy the area and only used the car once the whole week. The Lugger Inn was good for both evening meals and take aways plus a well stocked village shop was also useful. We would highly recommend this delightful cottage and hope to book again next year. Forgot to say the private garden was lovely as we sat there enjoying the sunsets over the harbour in the evening. Thank you.

  Third time here at Castle Green Cottage and once again couldn’t wish for a more pleasant place to stay. Location is great with views to die for. Well equipped and comfortable as usual. Only watch out is distance from car parking and the hills involved which could present a challenge if you are not fairly fit and mobile, but that is not a complaint just information. Polruan has a lovely vibe to it and the local pubs are great. Easy access to the busier Fowey via the ferry if you want a change of pace.
