  The house was ample size for our party of seven, however there were quite a few things needing some tlc.

  Broken chairs and lamps, shower doors loose, pans that have seen better days etc. We also felt that it wasn’t as clean as it could be under the surface. There is a lot of clutter and personal items scattered around especially in the kitchen. It needs a really good sort out to make the space more neutral for guests rather than feeling like you are borrowing someone’s living space. I wouldn’t expect to find a cupboard full of food, for example or a very unorganised kitchen drawer full of odds and ends. Saying that we made good use of the appliances, the huge dining table and the laundry room. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and the location is ideal for the beach and shops (only 5 mins away). We didn’t use the garden as we felt it was too untidy to really enjoy it. The place just needs a bit of stripping back and updating and it will be ideal for large groups to enjoy lovely Cromer. Having private parking is a bonus! We took advantage of the short drive to sheringham and North Norfolk railway and would recommend a trip to Bewilderwood for children! Amazing place! Also recommend Bucket List for loaded fries only a few mins from the property and also enjoyed a few drinks in Gangway. Another small gripe was that the owner came to start cleaning the house before our check out time and when she realised we were still inside, sat waiting outside the door making us feel rushed. Otherwise, with some small improvements this property is ideal for multi generational families to use as a base for a typical British seaside holiday!

  We stayed here as a family of six over the May half term. The location is excellent, just on the edge of Cromer enough to be quiet, yet close to everything you need. The beds are very comfy and clean, and the showers are powerful and nice to use. Parking is just over the road which is convenient. We were able to pull up directly opposite the home to load/unload. A small issue we had is the lack of freezer space, it’s just the small freezer drawer at the top of a standard fridge. This wasn’t very convenient and caused more trips to shops than we really wanted to make - I have fed this back to original cottages. Good enclosed and safe garden for the dogs.

  Falcons rest was better than expected in size and comfort The added gesture of a welcome box of fresh bread, juice etc was a lovely touch I now have a new found love for Cromer finding places i never knew existed The places to eat good food and that are dog friendly are very accessible only a short drive of 12 minutes away, such as The Gunton Arms and Suffield arms At Falcons rest we felt very at home, such is the comfort and ease of this cottage, very comfortable beds, good quality bed linen , soft towels , good powerful shower and comfortable sofa . All the comforts of home So much so we have booked a return vist.

  Fabulous time at Falcons rest - so good we stayed twice! A new love for Cromer has been found for sure. Falcons rest is like a home from home, on our first stay I felt instantly comfortable when walking though the door. We were also provided with a welcome pack which was a very nice touch. Location is central and with a 5 minute walk to the beach. If you enjoy a good restaurant The Gunton Arms and Suffield Arms are within 15 minutes of Cromer. Highly recommend the Bakery on the high street. Hatters for Breakfast and Mary Janes for fish and chips. the Fig and Olive for all things delicious. Cant wait to return.

  The properties location gave us a very pleasant surprise. It is was in a privately gated estate, which means it is very quiet and makes you feel secure. The property was beautifully presented with a lovely gift hamper from the owners which contained locally sourced foods. This was a lovely touch and made us feel valued from the outset. The walk to the beach take about ten minutes via the woods or about twenty if you walk by the road. The walk takes you past the lighthouse and down to beautiful sandy beaches. The cottage was everything we required and would recommend it to others with young children.
