What our customers say about their holidays

What an amazing cottage.
weve just returned home after a 2 week stay here From start to finish everything was perfect. what a find. there are 2 cottages side by side on the owners farmland. the neighbours are sheep (who regularly came to peer over the fence), chickens and cows. the building is well insulated as we didnt hear any noises from either the other cottage or the farm. the hottub was wonderful. Steve met us on arrival and showed us around. We had milk, butter, sweets, flowers, welshcakes and fresh eggs from the farm, tea, coffee, sugar and a bottle of wine waiting for us. what a lovely welcoming surprise. thank you Steve and Dawn for everything. The cottage is 5 miles from the nearest village Rhayader and 7 miles from Llandodrid wells. There are lots of wonderful places to visit. Its the perfect place to unwind and relax. With breath taking views, wonderful walks and a lovely mountain drive to the coast. We have all enjoyed every minute of our holiday and really didnt want to leave. The phone signal was fantastic and we had 4g wherever we went, even over the mountain drive, so we didnt need wifi. It was hot while we were there, but there are ceiling fans in every room to keep it cool, for cold days and nights, theres under floor heating, which we never needed to use.If you want a break away in rural Wales, with peace and quiet, then this is the place to go. Absolutey perfect

This lodge was perfect and in an idyllic setting.
Surrounded by sheep and farm fields. Very quiet neighbours and very private. The hot tub was checked and topped up regularly throughout our holiday which was very much appreciated thank you. The hot tub was perfect for our holiday, even in the rain. It was situated in a lovely enclosed area with a grass area and table and chairs and a fire pit to cook a bbq on. With sheep peeping through the fence. â¤ï¸ Bathroom/showers all just perfect for us. Plenty of living room space with dishwasher and washing machine, full sized fridge and freezer, microwave ,ironing board and iron. Adequate crockery, utensils, cooking equipment. All double glazed windows and doors, beautiful blinds. The only thing I should have asked was how to put the outside lights on. We could see them on the wall but no clue as to how they worked. The internet/wifi all seemed to work perfectly for us. We expected it to be a bit poor considering where we were but we had no problems. The welcome pack and all the tea, coffee and sugar and milk came in very handy. The marshmallows and sticks were used on our last night. We made sâmores on the fire with the kindling and logs you left for us. You really had thought of everything. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We will be back again next year. Paula and Neil

Keith - Verified booking
We were looking forward to having a break away from it all in complete privacy having seen the photographs and checking on the fencing situation as we have a dog who is over- friendly.
When we arrived Keith asked a lady by the farm type buildings and machinery where we might find Poppy. She did not engage in any welcoming conversation just told us it was the second one along. The huts are attractive but the view from the back window was awful and a tractor with some sort of scraper was going backwards and forwards scraping rainwater from the ground for quite some time. The photographs are also very misleading, we realised they must have been taken with a fish-eye lense as the hut and the garden area were very much smaller and the other huts much closer than we thought. There was a âGuests informationâ booklet but this did not give any information about how to use the shower, the heating, the hob or the tv. A Guest book was provided for guests to write their feedback but I found it a little suspicious, considering the above that it was a loose leaf book, with only glowing reviews. Although it was thoughtful to provide a small bottle of milk and coffee, tea and sugar, it would be a good idea to provide condiments and cooking/olive oil too. We enjoyed our break due to the places we visited and the views of the hills and sheep but the experience could have been so much better with some friendliness and thoughtfulness from the hosts.

Set in the beautiful countryside of Rhayader.
. Caban Nant Ddu did not fail to impress! We stayed there with our friends and never felt like we needed more space. Everything was exceptionally clean. Steve was very friendly and helpful. On our arrival they left us a bottle of wine, butter and milk in the fridge. They also left us a bowl of fresh eggs from the farm which were very tasty. Rhayader is just a short drive up the road and has most things you would need. We went to Tesco on the day of arrival to get some essentials for the weekend and with it being a large store there wasnât anything we couldnât get, so you donât need to pack the kitchen sink. For something to do we went for a lovely walk around the dams one day and went to Aberystwyth another, and with the weather being stunning it made for a fantastic weekend away for my wifeâs birthday.. Overall a fantastic weekend away, we will certainly come again. If I were to pick something that let it down it would be no WiFi, thereâs a smart tv with Netflix n things but with no WiFi we couldnât watch it on an evening. That could also been seen as a positive if youâre trying to get away from every day life so take that comment how you want lol. Will be coming back Rikki and Ella
