What our customers say about their holidays

I stayed here for 8 nights, and while I was pleased when I first arrived; the bungalow seemed retro and quirky, and the scones were a lovely touch, I soon realised how dirty the accommodation was. My 1yr old dropped his food on the kitchen floor, I wiped it up and was disgusted to see the wet wipe come away black. I found a shard of broken plastic on the landing floor by the mirror. The garage, where the freezer is and the route to the garden, was filthy, the top of the freezer covered in dirt. The door handles through the porch to the kitchen were grubby. The grill in the oven doesn't work. The beds were rock hard and very noisy and had a damp smell to them, covered up by some strong fragrance, such as febreez. There is no bath/shower mat (pretty important for toddlers in the bath or most people in the shower). At a guess, this bungalow was owned by an elderly couple. When they passed away their son decided to rent it out. And changed or updated very little. Most kitchen bits are cheap (bin, dish drainer, kettle etc), which could easily be replaced by something with more quality. Having said this, the bathroom is nice, and the accommodation is a good size. I'm certain there are far worse places to stay, but I think there is no excuse not to have the place professionally cleaned (or just thoroughly cleaned, properly!) after each let.

My late wife and I have stayed at Primley Park approximately 10 times over the past 20 years, including by myself for the past two years. As well as having always provided very well presented, maintained and comfortable accommodation in a quiet residential area it is ideally placed from which to visit the many attractions in both the immediate and wider area either by car or by train from Paignton (mainline and steam railways). It is about a 10-15 minute walk down into the town although be aware it is a fairly steep climb if walking back up but it is its elevated position that provides the panaromic view from the rear of the property of Paignton and easterly towards Torquay. In the early years Primley Park was the third property we rented in Paignton but ever since have never wished to stayed anywhere else. Being in a residential area the neighbours are friendly and Primley Park's owners check to ensure there are no problems with the accommodation. Recommended to me by the owners for my stay in 2014, there is an excellent, full size 18 hole golf course at Churston (between Paignton and Brixham) with fantastic panaromic views across Torbay.

66 primley park was a very comfortable bungolow it was very clean and well equipped for all our needs tha only two drawbacks we had was we couldn't get car in drive way because it wasn't wide enough the brick pillars need to be taken out and the other is we stayed in same bungolows in 2005 and lovely views of the sea but we couldn't see much this time for huge great bush in way.we also ha d issues with number 68s cat who had been left to fend for it self for six wks the cat was starving and very I'll we fed it up until Friday but it became so distressed because it was struggling to breathe so I called the RSPCA and they took it away the owners were not back for another two wks and I couldn't just not do anything I hav'nt heard anything from the RSPCA but they promised me they would let me know.i informed the owners of number 66 what I had done

We had a really good stay the facilities were really good only thing missing according to my two sons was that there is no wifi in the property but this won't stop us from staying again even if you had to pay a small fee for using it extra to the cost of the bungalow, the bungalow was like home from home just a pity the weather wasn't with us this year from talking to people i think we had the wettest week, the only other thing missing is a washing machine which meant that the whole week no washing for me not that it was a bad thing but a lot to do when we got back, other than that which is just picky really the bungalow is great, don't go telling everyone as we will find it booked when we want to go! We had a lovely week at Sea Peeps.
The house was spotless and very cosy. Well situated close to the town - easy walking distance into town (although it is a steep hill for anyone who has mobility issues). We appreciated the little touches like the throws in the evening when it got chilly. The nightlight on the stairs was a godsend if getting up through the night. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. The only issue we had was parking as itâs a small drive, shared with next door (also a holiday home) which wasnât the issue as such but locals were inclined to park across the drive blocking us in/out on a few occasions. All in all though a lovely house and would recommend if youâre visiting the area.
